He's still her heir, I think, unless a court changes that.

I will not be satisfied until he has a number and the title "Inmate" before his name.

Until this happens, justice will not be satisfied.

A priest who is concerned about Terri's dignity and rights would annul the broken marriage and grant her parents legal authority and pray for her recovery and the truth of her situation to be revealed. He would not concern himself about her "death rights" - LIFE is his business.

He is like no priest I have ever known and I'm glad he is not in my parrish

What he stated on Niteline and stating that the court was right is against everything I was ever taught in catholic school and in church

if he is no longer terri's guardian, would the hubby still get the insurance money,if she dies???????

While most insurance companies don't like the publicity that can come from refusing to pay claims, I think that the insurance company could get very good publicity if it insisted on an investigation before making payment.

Partial birth abortion wouldn't be used on a baby that has died in utero. A dead baby wouldn't need his/her brain sucked out. I've had several friends lose late term babies and I think the docs usually induce labor.

How do we know he is a priest to begin with? Maybe Nightline jus dressed someone in a clerical collar.

I am amazed at the urgency of some people to make sure this womn dies. What's the big hurry?

This was such a massive effort that it will take a few days in isolation to wind down like an astronaut.

No kidding. I think I've spent most of my waking hours praying or on FR these past six days.

These leaders went to bat for Terri. Please thank them in your spare time: Jim Sebesta, Pinellas County;Frank Latvala, Pinellas County, Rep. Lee (district unknown) and Daniel Webster (district unknown) AND Johnny Byrd (who I called late afternoon yesterday. They were going to reconvene the House this a.m. and I pretty much told his staffer that it would be too late then. Then, 15 minutes later, we get a report that Jim King is doing a press conference that he's no longer against Terri's law and Johnny Byrd gives a presser repeating what I told his staffer word for word "she might not make it another night. She's dying hour by hour." They FINALLY GOT IT and went back to work.

I was not minding my own business all over the place. lol

"if he is no longer terri's guardian, would the hubby still get the insurance money,if she dies???????"

The policy was taken out before she got in this condition and has nothing to do with him being the guardian. It has a lot to do with him being the husband! Probably why he never wanted the divorce to marry his tramp.

I read about this on one of the many 'million' posts and wish I could link it for you. I'm sure there is a FReeper who has read about it too and they will do the honors.

He sounded like a Teddy Kennedy type of priest

I wonder how Michael Schiavo is NOW enjoying the company of his mother-in-law to-be, the bizarre woman who was supervising Mrs. Schindler around last week? What a stroke of fortune! Schiavo is a tragic villain that not even Shakespeare could have imagined.

Call the crematorium, Schiavo, tell them it looks like you won't be needing their services after all!!!!

You have to have some sort of legal right [insurable interest] in order to take out an insurance policy on someone. I know that in divorce cases, all that gets divided up. I don't know about the murky ground that the Schiavos are in. It is possible the insurance company could determine that he no longer has an insurable interest, in which case they can cancel the policy but have to refund the premiums.
I am not sure what Florida law says, but those are some of the points to consider.

Sounds like what my late wife told me (from her LOMA courses). But I don't know what the rules are in a case like this. OTOH, if, as I hope happens, attempted murder charges are placed against the Schiavo Triumvirate, insurance payout would become moot. Insurance companies don't have to pay murderers.

I heard on the radio the other day about the bone scan you mentioned. The husband and lawyer are going to extrordinary lengths to make sure Terri dies when all he has to do is turn her care over to the parents, divorce her and be done.

I smell smoke.
