We need to hear this from the family first. ERs restrict visitors. If Terri is in ICU her visitors would also be limited. It may just be a hosptial policy.
To: pc93
Michael Schiavo has ordered that the hospital may not permit any visitors for Terri, including her parents and siblings. As of 8.00 am (ET) Wednesday morning, Terris immediate family is not allowed to visit her and is not permitted to have any information regarding her physical condition. I thought he was no longer her legal guardian?

Dear Jesus,
Please tell your angels to forcefully shove Michael, and those with whom he is associated, out of Terri's room,
Also, please very firmly close the door on MS and his fellow "do-badders," so that they can no longer interfere with Terri's recovery.

This may be a repeat question, but who has the authority over Terri now?? Michael , her parents, or Jeb??? If Jeb has authority, why then can't the brother visit? and WHY IN GOD'S NAME is the COMMON LAW WIFE even allowed to enter that room?? THAT is cruel and unusual punishment to Terri!!!!!!! Talk about CRUEL!!!!

I do not understand why her husband doesn't just divorce her. Her parents can once again assume reponsibility for her medical problems and all this fighting would come to an end.
Bet he won't/doesn't because he is only interested in getting his hands on the award money.
To: CindyDawg
If that pregnant woman who is Terri's designated successor is getting in and her parents aren't, it isn't the hospital policy restricting this--it's Michael Shiavo.

As a medical professional I can say that in my opinion, your argument/statement is not defendable.
1. Only the person can say for themself if they want to die for sure. You can't make a blanket statement like that. "Oh since I wouldn't want to live like that they probably wouldn't either." That is imposing your ideals onto another erring on the side of death. It is infinitly better to err on the side of life in all cases. Period.
2. Terri is not in a veg state.
So if I got your meaning right, I am stating that you are dead wrong.
You cannot say what you would do, until you are there yourself. I can assure you, from experience, that when a person/family actually is faced with this choice, their priorities change, dramatically. What once was said in the absence of dilema, is re-evaluated completely when faced with a present dilema. Not ranting on you, just firmly totally disagreeing with you.

"they'll just take someone's word that she would prefer to die?" Yeah, especially when that little detail wasn't even "remembered" until 8 years after the fact by the so-called witness. No court of law would order the death penalty on the uncorroborated testimony of only one witness, certainly not of one who stood to profit from his testimony being heeded. Why should this be any different?

Michael Schiavo is still calling the shots, re. Terri. Won't let her family see her. Is doing the media contacts.
Whoever has contacts for Dan Marshall, please post - or contact him.
Contacts for the hospital, would be helpful. Why is anyone there following Michael Schiavo OR George Felos's orders?
Please e-mail this crew, too:
Thank you, Freepers!

I hear you but where is this coming from? I just can't believe a hospital would allow this. I would be screaming my head off all the way to the chief of staff. Isn't JB's lawyer also there? I'm not saying it isn't happening after everything else that has gone on, but just wondering where this info coming from. The law is now protecting them and if I felt the way these parents do they would have to drag me out of her room before I would leave her alone with someone I considered a danger to her and I would have another family member right behind me to replace me.

Bet he won't/doesn't because he is only interested in getting his hands on the award money. No, Terri's family has repeatedly told him he could take every dime if he would only divorce Terri and let Terri's parents and siblings assume guardianship of Terri. Michael has refused. Like others, I assume this means Terri knows something Michael is terrified she might repeat if she gets well.
To: All
If I knew how to post pics I would find a picture of someone's vomit and put M. Schiavo's name on it.

Please keep the e-mails, letters, faxes, phone calls. They do make a difference. If Michael had any compassion for his wife, he surely would let her parents visit her. How sadistic of him!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1005633/posts Take a look at the affidavit of the family in this link. If this is even partially true, can you honestly believe that the right thing is being done by starving her? At a minimum, it seems to me, and most of us arguing for her life, that the most rudimentary efforts to see if this woman is "in a vegetable state" (as you put it) have not even been done. In fact, from what I've seen, it appears she is very responsive to her priest giving her Communion, to her parents, etc., and is very much a living human being.
