OK... So I'm had this thought about doing something with boneless chicken breasts.

Once, Emeril did this wrapped up chicken breast thing with a mushroom filling. I thought that it would be interesting to do something similar, but a cheese filling. I thought that I would take some ricotta, mix in, oh, let's say, some fresh rosemary, some fresh oregano, maybe some fresh thyme (I can raid the garden for all three); A little salt, some freshly ground black pepper, some minced garlic, and perhaps some finely chopped mushrooms. I suppose that I could saute everything in a little olive oil, let it cool, and then add it to the ricotta. That sounds good.

Then I was going to pound the breasts flat, to around 1/4 thick, layer on some pancetta, add the filling, and roll them up. Emeril pan fried them a bit for color and then finished them in the oven. I was thinking that I could put them on a hot grill for some nice grill marks and then finish them in a pan on the barbeque's top rack. Grill some fresh veggies for a side dish. (I did some Italian eggplant last night.) One of my favorites is to make a balsamic vinegrette for the veggies first. Balsamic vinegar, some Lee & Perrin's, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, minced garlic, and wisk in some olive oil. You can also add yellow mustard. pour over the veggies, and let them sit for a few minutes before grilling.

Put some slices of French bread on the grill too. Deglaze the pan with some white wine and some chicken stock for a nice sauce and it's dinner time!

So anyway, I tried this. The roll never really got hot enough to melt the ricotta. It was still pretty good. Next time, I think that a mix of grated Parmasean and grated Mozzerella would do better.

what I remember is that there were allegations against Bush about coccaine use...there were attacks on Bush, and other Republicans... this is how I remember it.....

that made many posters upset, and at that time, many , many people left...Lucianne, Iowa Hawk, and many others whose names I can not remember....

My impression is that they left because Free Republic was conidered a conservative forum backing conservatives, mostly Republicans, and the idea that Republicans would be bashed as quickly as the evil Rats was torture for some... That is my outsiders opinion anyway....

All I can say is , let's keep our eye on the prize....the rebirth of the constitution with all the rights we deserve, and I believe that we can only do that if we support the GOP as much as possible, even if that means sacrificing some ideals....

Why certainly. He was banned a while back, after he deposited his "gift" all over the forum.

He spends his miserable little life now cutting and pasting and blaming everyone else but himself for his banning. He claims to be a real conservative, yet doesn't take personal responsibility for his own actions. Reminds me more of Clinton than a real conservative.

BTW: I really liked the guy and was one of the last to realize I had been duped!
