Personally, I've been in a similar position. The family should have the right to pull the plug.

The family should have the right to pull the plug. The Family, yes... the estranged, shacked up, alleged cause of current condition husband-in-name-only, no.

There is no plug to pull. This is why we are having this problem now. You people who equate a feeding tube with life support have selective hearing.

I too, have been in a similar position. One family member who needed a feeding tube for a few months after surgery and another who died in a true coma, on oxygen only who when on his own, no feeding tube but we knew he wasn't coming back. He was not alive or alert like Terri has been.

The Family: The only "legal" family is the adulterous, muderous husband.

Not to mention the very loose word "family". People just assume when they read this case and have no idea untill go and read the information on it. The eager to marry his new fiance and mother of his children is NOT the person to decide if she lives or dies. Not to mention he gets all the money he got to take care of HER.
Argh, I hope like you know what they open a case against this jerk and make him pay TERRI back every penny he used to try to kill her.

The only "legal" family is the adulterous, muderous husband. True and not true.
He was recognized by this court as her legal guardian... that part is true. However, given the circumstances surrounding her initial injury, her denied rehabilitation and visitation and the "abandonment" of said "family", the court is clearly wrong. She has a family who wants to care for her and she has a husband who does not and who has some obvious, though admittedly potential, conflicts of interest in seeking her demise.

"pull the plug" is an old saying. I had to "pull the Plug" on my father in 1995. I understand the family's grief.
True, I skimmed the article (at work) and missed the part about the "shack-up". However, my selective hearing isn't my only fault... just ask my wife... are you a wife? ....wait... Marte is that you? Are you a freeper now? (sarcasm...sorry couldn't resist)

If they reinsert the feeding tube at this point, will she revert to the same status she had before they pulled it? or do you think more damage occurred over the last couple of days since they pulled it?
To: Skylight
if your only information about this case is coming from the lamestream media, you have no information at all. i suggest you do a FR title search on "terri" and read a few of the articles. this case is entirely different from the case you and your family apparently struggled with. the HINO is attempting to have her done away with so he can keep a million-dollar lawsuit awarded as a result of Terri's medical accident and which money was intended for her care.

every minute she continues to be starved and dehydrated is critical - only God knows the state she is now in and what will result.

Only for lack of investigation by a corrupt judge and ethically questionable attorney. I see a disbarment in his future.
