If the gay approach to AIDS is working, then why is the rate of infection up in the younger gay men. Why is syphillis infection up in the gay population overall? If condoms are working, why is this happening? Why in African nations that are starting to emphasize behavior and abstinence experiencing a downward trend in AIDS? Why in Islamic African nations, AIDS and STD rate is very low compared to free behavior African nations? The gay community can laugh and deride the Catholic Church, but in the end who is right and wrong falls on the gay community because they are the ones who will live with the disease caused by their own "freedom".

Everyone from the horrified World Health Organization to your own grandmother knows that, unless they tear or are somehow misused, condoms have a nearly 100 percent success rate in preventing the transmission of STDs, including the virus that causes AIDS.
LOL! The folks at the San Francisco Chronicle are still in denial about the
NIH composite study (June 2000) conclusion that condoms, even when properly used, had a 15% failure rate in preventing HIV transmission.

The only way to 100% prevent the spread of sexually transmitted AIDS is to not have sex. Which was the Cardinal's position all along. The liberal media has done its best to twist things around, but in the end what Cardinal Trujillo actually said is 100% true: using a condom will not guarantee that you won't get AIDS. The only sure-fire way to prevent AIDS is abstinance.

This is about the same odds of hitting a cylinder with a bullet in it when playing Russian roulette. Aids is a fatal disease. Using a condom to prevent it is like playing Russian roulette in slow motion.
