Prevent Florida State Senator James King From Blocking Terr's Law

Florida Governor Jeb Bush is finally pursuing a course to save the life of Terri Schiavo. Governor Bush is calling a special session of the Florida legislatureon Monday to pass legislation that he worked on with Florida Speaker of the House Johnnie Byrd. ``Terri's Bill'' would immediately suspend all dehydration and starvation deaths in the state.
LifeNews.com, however is reporting that one man is the greatest obstacle to this happening, Florida Senate President Jim King, the man who controls the state Senate's agenda.
It's obviously important that we contact all state representatives, Senators, and other parties, but it is absolutely critical we put the pressure on Senator King!
Senator James E. "Jim" King, Jr.is the state Senator from Florida's district 8, which covers parts of Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns, and Volusia counties. Especially if you live in his district, please call him and tell him that he needs to listen to Governor Bush and Speaker Byrd and put this on the agenda tomorrow. Tell him you think this bill needs to be passed ASAP. And call any relatives or friends you have who live in that district to call (or email) him. Right now, he may be the one person with the most power to stop this bill. Let's let him know it needs to get passed. He needs some serious Freeping!
You can read more about this on these threads:

This is what they said the session was really called for.
IS he mentioning Terri. If he doesn't talk about Terri, it shows that he was all talk, but no action.
Terri's not as important as bringing business to the state.

Yep, Jeb Bush is showing his callous side.
He doesn't mind emailing us how he cares, but he won't use his bully pulpit to say or do anything to help Terri or her family.

I'm with you. We need to get a law passed federally and use Terri's case to publicize this outrageous state sanctioned murder.
Surely we can get someone to listen. I wish we had more time to help Terri and her loving family.

Just an incredible irony to me that they are doing all this talk about creating healthcare miracles, biotech cures, etc, and simultaneously killing Terri.
Senator bringing up living forever and stem cell research now.

URGENT ~ URGENT ~ I talked with Senator Anna P. Cowin's office .. she is not optimistic that anything will be done regarding Terri's Bill only because James King has been remiss on women's issues before and wrath doesn't seem to bother him.
She gave me a private e-mail address to send sourced material regarding the connection of George Felos to Michael Schiavo to Hospice and James King to Hospice, which might explain King's reluctance to even consider Terri's Bill.
I approached on the basis that my parents were snowbirds and I would not allow them to travel again to Florida, given the current state of health care. Also, I said that Florida is now being termed "The Death State" on the internet, and perhaps James King should be more aware of the millions of dollars that internet people can provide the state.
She asked what organization I represented .. gave her Free Republic website as grassroots activism and that we were really knowledgeable about the Hospice situation in Florida and the questionable links of men in power.
NOW ~ SHE NEEDS CREDIBLE, SOURCED INFORMATION e-mailed right away. She will duplicate and spread the word. If you, MarMema, are the one to send this information, I'll provide the address; otherwise, decide who should be the source and I'll give the address there.

Nothing else here. But this whole on .. off thing is weird. I can't beleive that World net daily would run a story just from the press release from Terri's website. I would think they would want to follow the first rule of journalism. Verify, verify. At least two sources. Iam suspicious of this turn of events.
