Gov. Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

Exactly, what the hell. I've seen more coverage on MSNBC than Fox. And, Fox kept using the terms "vegetable" "comatose" "brain dead". They should be ashamed of themselves.

A friend from work just called me. I had filled her in with all that's going on (explaining why I was so tired and anxious today). She just heard on the news the tube has been reinserted. Don't know which news network she saw it on, but I'm now seeing others are saying the same. Another post SOMEWHERE says she's very weak yet is still responsive!

The arguments by the Dems in the House and Senate, were pathetic. They make NO SENSE!!!

I am constantly amazed at the total ignorance. It's not even a disagreement any more.

I would never make a good politician..... I can't stand it when they say, "Vote your conscience". They are talking about people that ALWAYS vote DEATH. They don't have a conscience!!!

There isn't any logical arguments to be made for the DEATH CULTURE.

Part of the bill that passed was that there would be no repercussions allowed for following the order of the Gov. What does this jerk think he is doing??

Felo's sent a lletter to ALL area hospitals and hospice facilities stating that if ANYONE reinstates Feeding Tube or IV in here, he WILL sue them and I agree with you!

He can cram his suit where the sun don't shine. Can you say substantial penalties for frivolous litigation??? (AND not coming out of Terri's fund anymore :-)
