TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I think this is an eye-opener for all of us to really research judges who are on our ballots.

No, he's going to vote for it! I think.
There's no conflict of interest here. He has nothing to do with the judicial disposition, he's just a "friend" of Greer.
They all know each other in Florida.

There is no right decision on this. If we're going to err lets err on the side of Terri Schiavo.

Sen Klein (D) is up. Lecturing them about signing a living will. He says until there's a better way than withdrawing the feeding tube, they haven't found it yet. Can't tell yet how he's leaning...
To: tutstar
Great! This V. guy is on the Long Term Care and Aging Committee.
This is friggin' scary.

IMO, if King, who at first was dead set against this Bill, now thinks it's needed, then it's probably a done deal.
Have to leave for a while. Will continue in prayer.

If he was really for the bill, and Terri, he would have instructed the committee not to amend the bill. As it is now, it may never pass in time.

Klein says he's voting against the bill

Sen. Klein up now...
mother was on feeding tube for 12 years. Tore my heart out. She would have wanted to die with dignity.
When a person is living and quality of life is there you do everything you can, but...
He was going to vote yes, but now he's going to vote no.
CRAP!!!!
