Pudge is the pick-off master, but Nick should've been aware of this.

....If not, he is now.

A faster runner would have beaten out the throw. Giambi and Posada are the slowest runners on the team.

My money's on Zim. Lee used to carry a purse at one time. Really.

I thought "scuppered" was the British version. :)

How do you figure the Yankees' series was more pressure packed than the Marlins'? And how do you figure the Marlins had "zip" pressure?

Bernie can't run anymore, either.

Boone is at the plate. Another "what, me worry?" at bat.

Yankees missed a golden opportunity to score. Giambi's just not the guy you want up when moving runners along is your goal. And Boone, for all his home run heroics, isn't either.

That was pathetic - but imagine a Pudge/Pettite battery - players would be afraid to walk to first after ball 4 ;)

Matsui was an excellent pick up by the Yankees. He's a tough out.

Bernie has bad shoulder and knee problems this year, so we should get a better idea if he's lost anything next year .....if he heals up.

imagine a Pudge/Pettite battery

Even Vince Coleman in his prime would stand with one foot on first base in that situation.
