A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH (photos): 10/17/03
Yahoo.com, Whitehouse.gov | 10/17/03 | ohioWfan

President Bush and First Lady, Laura left California yesterday, and arrived at Tokyo’s Haneda airport (at around 3:00 am, Pacific time), where they were greeted by U.S. Ambassador Howard Baker. The President met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi for talks on subjects such as international trade and the reconstruction of Iraq. The President and First Lady were dinner guests at the Akasaka State Guest House, where they dined on Japanese steak and Yakatori chicken, sitting on the floor, but were allowed to dangle their legs through a hole in the floor!

Japan is only the first stop in a whirlwind 9 day tour of 6 Asian countries and Australia, and including the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday. There are LOTS of pictures, many of which could have been selected as the “best,” (and which I have tried to assemble in some sort of orderly fashion), so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Thanks so much for posting these amazing pixes of our incredibly photogenic, telegenic, ALWAYSgenic president -- he and Laura are absolutely GLOWING!

You can rate these photos (and others) at Yahoo.com -- we must help shape public opinion by battling the leftists who tend to dominate this portal. REMEMBER: Give photos of the President a rating of '5' and pixes of protesters/DEMONrats a rating of '1'!

I don't think the pres. is a 'flowers around the neck guy' just like he's definitely not a 'see-through-white-dress-shirt' guy.

Thanks for the dose Ohio.

The shirt is called a barong tagalog and it is the traditional dress shirt for men in the Philippines. I think that Presidents since Howard Taft all wear them when they are in the Philippines. They are made of pineapple and are very cool in the hot weather. Much more comfortable than black tie.

I don't usually watch TV, I tend to lurk on the internet and FR instead. That was a beautiful story about Condi and Brittany. One thing that I wish I had seen.

My first husband "dallied" with a 16 year old girl..

I caught them at it in my OWN HOME...

That betrayal was bad enough, he began to hit me shortly after that..until one day, I HIT HIM BACK..with a cast iron skillet upside his head..

There is no "honor" in staying with aomeone who does NOT honor you, nor honored the vows taken before God..

I have been with Mr.B for 22 wonderful years..

He is a gentle, kind God-fearing man, who loves and honors me..he is every other beat of my heart...

The Lord helps those who help themselves..it it said..

Together, we have been through pain, and deaths in our families, through sickness, he never ONCE thought about straying, nor have I..

THAT is what should be honored..

Ms.B

Hey, Mud..he gets me all a twitter too, even after all these years.. ;-)

I just love your idea about new Moms!

I talked to a friend of mine who is a busy Real Estate lady, that said if I cooked a dinner for her, she'd pick it up AND pay me 7 days a week!

Woo Hooo!

Keep those ideas coming!

Thanks!

Hey Lady!

How wonderful to hear from you!

I may be a "Yankee", but Southern cooking tugs at ny heart, and is so wonderful..I just love it!

I used to cook professionally at a Cajun Restaurant up here in Maine, greatest compliment I ever got was from a Trucker who lived in Louisiana, who asked to talk to me..

We had a beer together, and he said I made him miss being home..

I am looking for Entrees, and some really nice Bisque recipes, also fast but elegant desserts..

Break open that cookbook, woman!

I'm looking to start up a home-based Catering business..and need something different from the usual fare up here!

Being Acadian..I have meat pies and such down pat..

Thanks so much..

Hello again! In NC & also here in Ohio there are people who make wonderful money by going to the home of a couple. They spend a day cooking for either one or two weeks worth. Put food into heat serve conatiners . Label all w/directions.

One woman has only two customers a week & says she makes more money in those two days than she did working a month at a "job".

good luck to you.

I always felt it good to work "smarter" not necessarily harder.

getting to these pictures late..(early, but late?)..

I miss common tator's computer set up. Back to good old slow as molasses dial up...

But the pix are great & I think the Thai shirt (reminds me of the latin Gueyyabera shirts the men wore in Panama when I lived there) looks fine on him. They do come in colors & a color might have been better.

But if I am not mistaken the lighter ones esp of the fine fabrics are the signs of status & prestige. Very fitting.
