FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.
I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.
We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.
If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.
At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.
We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.
Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.
Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

I know in my heart you are right about Jeb. I really think he has a good heart and must be torn up about this. I am sure that if it were easy to do something, he would do it. I do have a question in my mind that if it means stiring the pot with a corrupt judge, then it may be more than he thought he could handle.
My thoughts were that if we put enough pressure upon him , he would know he had the support he needed to make the jump. Perhaps I was wrong about that . I don't know that for sure, it is just my guess. I have no idea what is going on , but I suspect the judge hold some interesting cards in this case.
Prayers for Terri , her family , our country and Jeb Bush.

Well, I hope he can do something, and that he does it in such a manner that is consistent with his duties and is within his constitutional abilities. Maybe we'll get lucky...

After the scathing letter I wrote to Senator Frist regarding his cannibalistic stance on embryonic stem cell research, his office no longer acknowledges my correspondence. His utilitarian perspective would not help but rather hurt Terri's case.

On another thread, WND reports that the family will not file an appeal with the Florida Supreme Court. Did they change their minds and file an appeal?
Worldnet Daily is reporting that the family will not file with the Florida Supreme Court. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35145

God-fearing America? ... Lady, it's now 'court fearing America', elevating the judge and his court to the level of diety. And when the chief law enforcement officer of a state bows to even the corrupt rulings of a judge, allowing a corrupt judge to tie his hands such that an innocent alive aware woman is executed by the orders of a corrupt judge without the chief law enforcement officer of the state stepping in to save the victim first, then deal with the conundrum, that state is not worth living in and too dangerous a place to visit. The word is 'feckless' ... Jeb Bush is feckless (and that sure ain't the same as helpless).

I'm in agreement with you, PNM ... again, the story in Luke of the woman continually going before the judge for relief, which he denied. She would not be stopped ... she kept appearing and pleading her cause ... he finally granted her request, lest he become weary from her pleading ...
Earnest, continual prayer before the Righteous Judge for Terri ... a mighty chorus before the Throne of God ...

To pegita:...
I remain in agreement Father. Amen... Pegita, I was reading late last night in the book of Isaiah. I read where the people's cries of "Holy, Holy. Holy" unto God literally shook the doorposts of the building that they were in. May our prayers result in a literal shaking of the doorposts to the Florida courts, the Hospice where Terri is, the homes of Michael Schiavo, George Felos, and Judge Greer. May this shaking also reach the Governor's mansion and his heart. May they also render a spiritual shaking in the hearts of these people as well.
If we could all be in unity with our prayers. Let's drop the anger, hate and malice ( repent if we must so that our hearts and hands are clean before Him ) and submit Terri before God as intercessors on her behalf. It is not too late. If we can move our eyes off of the circumstances and place them on God.....
I go to pray right now...and the words Holy, Holy, Holy will be upon my heart and soul and sent to our Father. I join you with all that I am...and I believe our Father will intervene, His perfect Will be done, and may all hearts and eyes be opened to His Will. Our Father moves in unexpected directions and have you ever noticed that He has responded to a prayer request long before you ever even noticed and ya just marvel at his awesome wisdom and love? When our Father moves in from the side, working all things to His Will.....ya just feel so lifted and loved!
I thank our Father for his wondrous love....I love Him, I love my family in Christ, and I will hold a tiny mustard seed ( have a little jar of them in my spice cabinet...bought just to remind me of how faith is more powerful than any weapon of mass destruction, than ANYTHING man can make ) in close to my heart today believeing this mountain will be moved, as our Father determines. We are one immensely blessed group of people and we surely need to let our Father know how much we thank Him..
Pegita...I stand with you in your prayer.
With hope,
Republic AKA Lynn in Indy...WHO TRUSTS and totally LOVES our FATHER and who needs forgiveness for her sins daily.

Is the ins company out of business or did they get bought out? Because if they were bought out couldn't the company charge him with fraud?

Well, keeping in mind that I'm not a lawyer, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night :0)

In Florida, aren't the executive, judicial and legislative branches all equal? And if so, how does the chief executive of Florida have the right to override what the court has determined? Wouldn't Gov. Bush have to enlist the assistance of the legislature, to reverse the courts' actions?

It is interesting that no one can find the answer to that question. Obviously the courts are not going to intervene and overrule what Greer has decided... they don't like to do that. But, the legislature has been silent, and they haven't initiated any action. And this makes me wonder if the constituents contact their legislators, and demand a change to the law, then the governor could act. But... I cannot find any information about this. No news from the legislature of Florida.
