FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.
I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.
We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.
If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.
At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.
We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.
Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.
Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

Thanks sarasmom. ANYONE who has shown up at Terri's Vigil is a good samaritan and are offering to help in their own way. Any posters who suggest we are just having a tailgate party down there need to come down and see as you did how Terri has brought people together and we are still praying for Terri and urging our neighbors to get down to Hospice of the Suncoast, Pinellas, we are committed to recall Judge Greer and change the Florida Statutes which have no safeguards for Floridians like Terri.
This was my GOOD SAMARITAN RANT.
If it sounds bad, remember to hit the "report abuse" button. Free Republic is not a newspaper forum or a yahoo group. PERSONAL ATTACKS ARE AGAINST THE POLICY AT FREE REPUBLIC. Thank you.

I dont' want to see the feds involved - they would screw it up completely, and we would all pay for it one way or another... I never argued for federale' intervention.
I argue for the CEO of the state of Florida to do his duty.

Maybe the insurance company who paid the "rehabilitative" settlement should appeal for a return of the money based on the fact that no rehabilitation was given?

Terri was not suffering until they pulled the port and the feeding tube on Wednesday. She was still in pretty good shape last night. She can express herself, she can understand jokes, she can breathe on her own. You may think she's suffering but that is simply your opinion.
BY THE WAY, GOV. BUSH'S PHONE MAILBOX IS FULL. Please try to fax him or email him instead. PLEASE CALL YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATOR'S NUMBER. Those are in your phone books at the front.
We cannot divine other people's wishes or second guess Terri's parents or Terri's doctors. Unfortunately, THE OPPOSITION's spin machine is LYING. Judge Greer is LYING. Got it?
To: narses
I am waiting for response from Chad, but I am begining to think he may have some good points. As much as I hate to admit it, there be nothing Jeb can do.

Hi, I'm going back before noon today. There were many teens and children there yesterday because there was no school in Pinellas County. Some of the teens are writing reports for their school papers and took photos.
I have a feeling MORE GOOD SAMARITANS will arrive today since it's the weekend. That's all we are, nothing more nothing less. Terri brought us together. Please update me if you hear anything. When we are at the vigil, if there's a press conference we know EXACTLY what's going on but obviously, we have no cable tv to see what's widely being reported.
FURTHER, baynews9.com is your best source for breaking news straight from the Vigil.

Terri was still doing okay last evening. She's a strong girl but unfortunately, without water, she's a candidate for pneumonia, etc. She just had pneumonia a month ago. That was part of her attorney's press conference late yesterday afternoon.

Perhaps I have been too emotional about this issue. I beleived Jeb would do something. After reading THe Thomas More Law Center letter I thought he had the advice he wanted and could act upon. I guess I do not really understand the finer point to this case. Some of this is over my head. Perhaps I was wrong.

Don't man made "rules" sound utterly stupid?? I doubt if you'd say this if the Schindlers had won.

ADA Act and the Civil Rights Bill are Federal mandates. Rest assured that we have contacted Congressman Bill Young and I recommend that since Jeb's mailbox is full, everyone look up Congressman Young's phone number and explain that this VIOLATES THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. Argument that this is just a state issue is nonsense.
However, if the Fla Supremes reject this case, the U.S. SUPREME COURT may be next. THEN I WOULD HOPE THAT CONGRESSMAN YOUNG COULD SOMEHOW ACT IN HIS CAPACITY to put pressure on someone at the Federal Level.
If you want to, please call Young before we know what the Florida Supremes are going to do - always keeping one step ahead of what's going on in the courts makes it easier for the reps to jump right in.
If someone can look up Congressman Young's WASHINGTON D.C. phone number and also his St. Petersburg, FL phone number, I'd appreciate it. I don't think Young has an email address but please check that out.
PLEASE CONTACT District 55 Frank Peterman of Tampa who is supporting Terri. He is a pastor and a legislator. He's working on this matter with other state legislators.
FINALLY, there's a lady at the Vigil every day who has cousins and nephews in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Soldiers fighting for freedom are appalled by Terri's story. They feel they are fighting to preserve freedom, including Terri's.

Terri dies and none of the incumbents will ever get my vote again. This includes GW.Another HeeHaw moment. If that doesn't define mission creep, I don't know what does.
Hey, my street at the end of my drive isn't paved to my satisfaction, and nothing is getting done - and GWBush ain't sayin' nuthing about it.....

Lynn, this is one of the most heart-breaking cases I have ever seen. I still can't believe that America has come to this. The past 3 nights I have had trouble sleeping because I have had dreams of Terri and the horror that she is being subjected to. I am sure many others have as well. Satan has risen to power...can there be any doubt about that? I think this case, along with a few others in recent weeks, reveal just how little impact the will of the people has on outcomes any more, no matter how loud we are.

Judge Greer MAY have violated 1998 Campaign Laws. If anyone has time to see if this is widely known or known by only a handful of people, go for it.
That would fall under the Dept. of State for the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections. They are separate from the judiciary.
If this is not widely known, what if Felos was holding this over Greer's head? Seriesly, this is hugh.
There's a web site where this info is posted. If anyone remembers the name of that blog, please post it on this thread. It's public, let's hyperlink it here.

Thank you, freep! Please let the mother of one of our military heroes know that our Gov., the FSC, and Hospice workers were reminded yesterday that our troops are risking their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan to keep a Terri Schiavo - death of an innocent sanctioned by the State - from ever happening in our free, civil, just, humane, God-fearing America.

Terri's wheelchair broke some time ago. Guardian-husband Michael Schiavo would not get it fixed or get her a new one. Judge Greer wouldn't allow the parents to buy her a new one. WHAT DOES THAT TELL EVERYONE? DEMAND AN EMERGENCY SPECIAL SESSION IN TALLAHASSEE for one thing.
