Petition to Censure Senator Kennedy

Please email the following to the Senate Majority Whip at: senator@mcconnell.senate.gov

Then sign it at the bottom

__________________________________________________

Subject: The Senate Must Censure Senator Kennedy

Dear Senator McConnell,

Senator Edward Kennedy’s recent conduct on the floor of the United States Senate has been far, far worse than merely conduct unbecoming a United States Senator, thus the Senate, to preserve its own integrity, must vote to censure Senator Kennedy.

If Senator Kennedy’s recent series of comments had been made off the floor, he would surely be guilty of defamation. The floor of the U.S. Senate is not a shielded perch from which to defame the President of the United States. More pertinently, it is disgraceful for a United States Senator to stand on the floor of the United States Senate and issue “lie after lie after lie,” defaming the President of the United States without a shred of relevant, competent evidence, and with no consequence. For this, Senator Kennedy deserves the strongest reprimand the United States Senate can issue against a member. Senator is making a mockery out of the Senate. Even Senator McCarthy was censured for far less.

To preserve the integrity of the United States Senate and the sanctity of its chambers, the Senate must act immediately to censure Senator Kennedy.

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME

YOUR ADDRESS

I say we put toghether a bus consisting of Pelosi,Clintons, Biden, Sheets Byrd, et. all to cross the US proclaiming the ability of demon-crats to take my money and give it to those that sleep till noon each day.

And we let Ted Kennedy drive the bus.

That would do it.

Done. My two state senators, the majority whip and the majority leader have all received a personal letter.

A robust democracy is annoying, but using censure to punish the source of the annoyance when it is directed against another politician is a profoundly bad idea. This puppy is DOA, and should be.

THanks-copied and mailed.

So many others need the same thing done-they need a sense of the senate resolution to punish those who defame without evidence. Politics or not...

Kennedy is getting hysterical. Just look at him. He looks like a nasty human being, filled with hate and jealousy.

That they cannot get a rise out of President Bush is driving the worst of the partisans crazy. Gotta love President Bush.

And worse, America is not buying their BIG RED LETTER WORD-

LIAR

Their attempt to break the faith of the American people in President Bush buy getting this four letter word out there, everywhere they can, is backlashing big time because we know it is not true, in spades.

Hitlery and her fatuous piglike rutting husband are trying to get revenge....all liars do. LOL. They must have something REALLY smelly on ol Teddy! He acts like he is fighting for his very survival!

HE said on the the floor of our senate that "our President calls our troops LIBERATORS "and then says "THEY ARE NOT!"

IF I knew him, I would take him aside and SPANK his arrogant keister for attempting to crush our troops like this. He is getting smaller and more hysterical by the day.

Just what does he think they are? What is he implying? No matter what one thinks of the policy of the President, whom I happen to support, this senaor from Mass has gone too far! How DARE he blather such bunk! Can he think past his party to the families of the service people who have given their lives for this cause? Can he think past himself to the service people over there now? Can there be any words that would deflate moral faster and harder? If they are not liberaters to that senator, then does he think they are murders? He needs to explain himself in front of the ethics committee! By the way...this senator from Mass, thinks 20 billion is too much to help free and get an entire country on it's feet, but thought 7 BILLION was just fine to dig a big hole that only services his state! Talk about selfish! To preserve the integrity of the United States Senate and the sanctity of its chambers, the Senate must act immediately to censure Senator Kennedy. Bump.

Freeped with the following addition: No person should be allowed to call another person a liar without substantial proof. That Senator Kennedy did this under the guise of political rhetoric is not acceptable, and he should be made to provide proof, or be severly reprimanded. It should further be required that every news agency that headlined his outrageous accusations be compelled to headline the censure he receives from the Senate.

Whenever ANY Republican makes an outrageous comment, the first thing the media does is go around to all the leading Republicans and ask what their opinion was of the rant. They did it with Lott, they do it with Delay, Dan Burton, etc. And the media specifically does this to Republicans so they can attach the Republican Party to the remarks of one individuals comments. The media never does this with the Democrats. [...] Kennedy had nothing to lose with his diatribe and the media will immunize the rest of the party by not questioning other Democrats about it.

An absolutely true and perspicuous observation. However there is a silver lining to that cloud. This media double-standard has created a kind of Darwinian selection pressure that has allowed far left extremists to prosper within the 'Rat Party, whereas Republicans have been driven to marginalize extremists on their side. Since the electoral margin between the two parties is closed among moderates and independents, who are turned off by extremists of either wing, the result is that the GOP is poised to be the majority party for a generation hence.
