Petition to Censure Senator Kennedy

Please email the following to the Senate Majority Whip at: senator@mcconnell.senate.gov

Then sign it at the bottom

__________________________________________________

Subject: The Senate Must Censure Senator Kennedy

Dear Senator McConnell,

Senator Edward Kennedy’s recent conduct on the floor of the United States Senate has been far, far worse than merely conduct unbecoming a United States Senator, thus the Senate, to preserve its own integrity, must vote to censure Senator Kennedy.

If Senator Kennedy’s recent series of comments had been made off the floor, he would surely be guilty of defamation. The floor of the U.S. Senate is not a shielded perch from which to defame the President of the United States. More pertinently, it is disgraceful for a United States Senator to stand on the floor of the United States Senate and issue “lie after lie after lie,” defaming the President of the United States without a shred of relevant, competent evidence, and with no consequence. For this, Senator Kennedy deserves the strongest reprimand the United States Senate can issue against a member. Senator is making a mockery out of the Senate. Even Senator McCarthy was censured for far less.

To preserve the integrity of the United States Senate and the sanctity of its chambers, the Senate must act immediately to censure Senator Kennedy.

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME

YOUR ADDRESS

Sean Hannity was talking today about the lack of passion the Republicans have. Well, that only applies to the majority of the Republicans in Washington D.C. Those of us out here have plenty of passion, just no power.

Remember how passionate the Republicans were in '95? They were beaten down and now seem to be just there marking time.

Yeah...and did you see Robert "Third" Reich on his show tonite? This is a guy that I disagree with, but had a little respect for. Tonite, he was doing his best to defend these remarks. It appears that even the most moderate of Dems have embraced the old adage that the more you tell a lie, the more it becomes the truth. I am really losing respect for their moderates who have either joined the club or are just silent over this outrage.

I bet the Bush family would not approve of this petition. They are giving EMK an award in College Station.

I was just thinking about how the media had such a fit over those soldier letters, yet political activists and all sorts of people use them all the time. Hell, the media does it all the time in the form of faxed talking-points from the DNC...were they all say the same thing just with different names telling the same story. Who can forget Bush's gravitas...or lack thereof. But do they ever investigate to see who sent them the info or even check it to see if it's accurate? NOT
