Post responses on this thread. Do or die for the Marlins. Break the Curse and Go to the Series or sink into ignominy for yet another year for the Cubbies.
Which will it be? Quien es mas macho?

No, of course not. Unfortunately there are too many absolute losers that might just do something stupid. No sympathy from Houston, we've been to the brink just as many times with the Oilers and Astros, yet we never rioted after a loss. Watch it get ugly tonight in Chicago.
After seeing today how the Chicago media went over the top and so many fans were trashing that fan, in a way I am glad the Cubs lost. A shame, I had been looking forward to seeing the ivy change colors even more next week.

why do I drag myself back to that *&^%&^% team every *&%$&*^ year? Why? Why? Why? For the love of the game. Nothing to be ashamed of. We live and die with them, and then the long, cold Winter comes.
Baseball is the best of all games. Root, root, root for the home team. It's your job.

Perhaps the cubbies should have him apologize to every fan as they enter the stadium next season.

Sorry, but I just don't find any humor in talking about how to kill a guy just because he tried to catch a baseball.

The biggest choke has to be the 1951 Dodgers. On Aug. 11, they had a 13 1/2 game lead on the Giants and blew it.

I'm no Marlins fan, but just glad to see the Cubs lose.
I also like seeing a 72 year-old manager doing well... Maybe the Dodgers will bring Tommy Lasorda out of mothballs for next season?

Has anybody taken note of the fact that both ALCS and NLCS games today ended in 9-6 scores? Weird.
It's a shame about the Cubs. I really wanted to see them in the World Series - whether my Red Sox made it there or not.

Bottom line is the cubbies thought that they deserved it,and they lost their genuine enthusiasm. The Marlins never lost theirs. and they tried harder, and never gave up. I root for the marlins, but was secretly hoping the cubbies would get to the series. They need to quit blaming the poor fan for their lousy pitching. Maybe next year.................
