Post responses on this thread. Do or die for the Marlins. Break the Curse and Go to the Series or sink into ignominy for yet another year for the Cubbies.
Which will it be? Quien es mas macho?

I agree than the ball kicked up a bit to Gonzalez, but he should have known that:
- it wasn't going to be a DP (too slow)
- (late father whispering in ear) YOU USE TWO HANDS! (d*mn)

On another topic, what a gutsy Red Sox victory tonight!

That gives me an idea. If the Marlins go on to win the world seris have Bartman move to Florida and run for Senate and take out Graham

Cubs need three runs to tie. The situation could be better but on the positive side, they have the best part of their line-up coming up and two innings to do it in. This is definitely do-able. You can't give in at this point if you're from Chicago. This is what it's all about.

Coming from Chicago I still wouldn't trust him...not with the Daley's still in business.

Ivan 'Pudge' Rodriguez is probably the best catcher the leagues have ever seen, yes even counting johnny Bench.
Too bad the Rangers let him go, or the Marlins would not be in the NLCS

Agree, props to the Sox.

I think the comments of Cubs fans in this thread tonight have been downright rude and goat-esque.
(Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.)

Aw man have you heard the probable pitchers for their game 7? Martinez vs. Clemens...

An obvious ploy to make the Marlins surrender. I didn't know their manager was French.

I must confess that the Marlin's Rodriguez has a Charlie Hustle clutch player thing going throughout these playoffs. Not that it would have mattered, but Rangers' owner Tom Hicks let Pudge go free agent because he wouldn't pay the $10 million Pudge wanted.
So the Marlins paid it, and, if the Marlins win, he ought to be the MVP of this series, and will get into the World Series.
He's a fantastic catcher, and a good person (still lives here in DFW and sponsors a host of charities). He didn't want to leave the Rangers, but they didn't want him.
I'll be glad for him, if the Marlins go to the Series.

You are right...which is why I am a Marlin fan in the "No-Gloat Zone" or is that "No Goat Zone"?

And your another of those nitwits who believe that baseball exists on the same low level as reality?
