I think Fox should supply the play-by-play announcer, but the color commentator should be from the station of the home team.

I think they should bring back that "objective" Yankees fan - Ed Hillell - as an announcer. Remember him from Game 2, IIRC?

I do like Nomar too. He seems like a real class act. He's a Georgia Tech boy after all!

But...who can resist a ham joke?

My first thought when I heard Nomah was with Mia Hamm? He's gay.

Let Al Leiter and Boone and Brenamann do the series. Carver, Buck and Psycho get under my skin and I'm a Cardinal fan.

Thanks! That will be just what I need as I can't get the game on TV or radio. I used to use ESPN's gamecast, but it's now extremely slow.

That's lame.

My definition of lame is intentionally striking a batter, threatening other players with projectiles to the head, taunting a septuagenarian, and then claiming fear of said septuagenarian as a reason for scratching his face and throwing him to the ground face first.

Class act, that Mr. Martinez.

As a young man I had a 70/80-year-old bar patron take a swing at me. I blocked his punch and stepped away, trying not to laugh.

You mean you're not a young man anymore?

The best TV commentary of baseball I have ever heard took place when Al Leiter walked the audience through the thought process of a pitcher when dealing with a hitter like I-Rod. Great stuff.

Sure looks windy at the Stadium. Anyone know if it's blowing in or out (or across)? I'd rather it blow in, as the Sox seem to be much more of a home run threat this postseason.
