In the case of Rockefeller, its a bunch of dirt poor West Virginians. My wife's family is from there. I've visited several times. To me, one of the telling examples of life there is that you cannot walk into the average convenience store in the small towns and find a magazine rack that sells even TIME or Newsweek magazine let alone anything conservative. The best you can do is car mags. Every other road, bridge, kid is named for KKK Byrd. West Virginia became a state because the people there did not own a lot of slaves and did not support slavery; and they did not want to pay taxes and send soldiers to the aristocratic state government in Richmond which gave them nothing in return. In modern times, every other citizen displays a rebel flag on their home or car. Almost all own guns, almost all believe in fundamental Christianity, almost all abhor special rights for africanhyphenamericans, antiheterosexuals, and other "victim groups". Because democrat trash like Byrd and Rockefeller bring home the federal pork, the people blindly vote for them.

It is startling and shameful that instead of trumpeting this evidence of American justice and wisdom, Democrats are joining with European critics to question the predicate for the war.

That about says it all...

I saw this. Rockefeller looked like he had been tapped on the back of the head with a tire iron.

Tony Snow would not let him off the hook. Great television!

When Rockefeller first ran for Senate, his campaign cost $10,000,000 and unheard of amount of money to be spent at that time, especially in West Virginia.

Term limits. Get career politicians back into the real world.

This guy hasn't known the real world for his entire life... His grandfather must be spinning in his grave with all these liberal leaches being his progeny (sp?). All the great capitalist "creators of wealth" seem to have liberal/socialist or even communist heirs doing all they can to spit on the principles that their ancestors stood for. Jay Rockefeller is perhaps the poster-child for this curious tradition.

Term limits. Get career politicians back into the real world.

There is not one single politician who could live under the laws they have passed. We are paying for their retirement. If they had to pay their retirement, and live under the laws they have imposed on us, many would be broke. I am 100% for term limits for all elected officials. Getting them to pass legislation proposing term limits would be hard enough, much less have a chance of passing.

Hi, RonDog -- thanks for your posts!

"The Democrats need cornering right now, especially on the Kay Report." -- he's got that right. I appreciate all the newly emerged media (thanks to FoxNews, WorldNet, NewsMax and . . . Free Republic?) who actually do homework and ask questions.

We are otherwise faced with a one-sided view of the world. I will never forget watching CSPAN, when Bob Barr made a reference to what it is like in "real America" and it being immediately, deliberately, and forever 'misunderstood' by House dims as "real Americans" without challenge, despite Bob's protestations at that time.

So, thank you, Tony, for your work; FoxNews -- stay healthy; Hugh -- I gotta go look at your book.

Terri & family -- you are in my prayers at this difficult time. FR keyword terrischiavo or http://www.terrisfight.org

I happened to see this interview. JDRIV looked totally not credible by the end of the interview.

I loved it.

Here's what's facing the rats next year,in the senate. On net, they will lose either 2 3 0r 4 seats ( pickups of SC NC GA FLA for sure; pickups of SD WASH maybe; pickup of Cal - now at least a possibility vs loses of Ill. and Penn.
That means that in the future we will see more of jerk rockerfeller. This is a good thing because he is nothing but a rich affable dunce. This is why we have not seen him on tv before. The rats know he can not be trusted to effectivly lie. He has even been known to throw out the fax and let the truth slip out. In an interview about the wilson/plame situation he slipped and referred to her as a
"potential" covert operative while chuckie was wringing his hands about the eeeevil W "outing" a "covert operative". Yes it will be fun listening to this affable dunce try to lie in the future.

Good morning! It is SO good to see you! I'm spending more time on FR for Terri, and am reminded of why I don't 'live' here anymore!

The situation surrounding Terri Schiavo is so evil -- I felt much the same way at Darby, seeing lives wrecked. Did you? or am I just overly sensitive?

Tony Snow Bump!! I watched that interview and was howling when Snow stuck him. I'm sure the libs all think Fox is biased when Tony points out lies or Brit chuckles at the absurdity of Baghdad Bob. lol

What on earth happened to the Rockefeller brains in three generations?

Did the men all marry pretty little idiot trophy wives?

(I will never understand how intelligent men who would reject a poorly bred horse or dog think that they can marry a dim-bulb woman and get smart kids.)

Of 130 massive weapons depots, we have searched 10.

I've heard that some of these re the size of Manhattan island.

On WMD. there was an e-mail posted here a couple of weeks ago from Iraq.
(I paraphrase)
It's like we're looking for a cup of coffee,
so far we've found
a coffee pot,
coffee filters,
coffee grounds,
a measuring spoon,
a coffee cup,
a spoon to stir the coffee,
water for coffee,
but so far no coffee.

God help West Virginia. They need new senators. Come to think of it, most all of us do.

This interview was a classic. Good job by Tony Snow.

The Senator was taken aback by what amounted to ruugh treatment. He was shown to be a liar, right on tv, where lots could see.

He doesn't give a damn tho......he's a Rockefeller and owns WVA in pardners with his perpetually lying colleague Byrd.
