Anyone in the mood for a hospital bust?

Great idea - I'm all for it - just let me know early because I'm coming from California.

Maybe it was something like this that started the Revolutionary War!

One thing for sure, from now on, Judge Greer's name is MUD!

"go to post 18 here"

oops! I meant go to post 18 on this thread, or simply "please go to post 18"

In case anyone was wondering why the film of Terri following the balloon with her eyes is important: It is showing response. Think back to your biology classes about how vision works- the brain has to "interpret" the information the the eyes relay to the brain, in order for you to see.

The fact that Terri is able to "track" a moving object (the balloon), with her eyes, demonstrates that her brain is responding.

I have worked with "blind" patients, with sustained neurological damage, whose eyes function perfectly, as far as structure goes.. i.e there isn't any physical damage to the eye or optic nerve-but they are blind because the brain is not able to "interpret" the signals/ info from the eyes- they can't "track" a moving object, but they are not considered to be "vegtables" either(therapy can be done to help the brain understand/interpret what it sees). Fortunately, Terri does not have this problem.

"Tracking" a moving object, and "smiling" also responding to sounds, people are all signs that Terri is definately NOT in "a persistent vegitative state" .

FYI

This is untrue. Gov. Bush asked the federal courts to step in. Unfortunately, a federal judge ruled that this is a state matter and refused to intervene.

Just thought I'd let you know that I sent emails to the addresses listed on your post and every one except for the one to Jeb Bush came back as undeliverable - name not recognized. I did fax Gov Bush and am going to the State of Florida website to try to get fax number for these others whose emails were returned.

Thanks for keeping us informed.

I sincerely doubt it. However, I do hope something happens to stop this.

Maybe he could make her a ward of the state, though. I'm not sure if he can or can't.

According to your post, I'm wrong about the current interpretation by the courts. May God help Terri and may He help us all if this is going to be the law of our land.

I say we TP roll Judge Greer's house and storm the hospital where Terri is in and take her out of there. This is so INSANE to allow her to die like this. Please pardon this emotional outburst. :o(

The adage "It's easier to be forgiven afterwards than to get permission ahead of time" sounds apropos here. What if some givernment agency or private group just went ahead and DID something? Is it at least theoretically possible that a governor or sheriff or other jurisdictional law officer could enter the premises to save a person known to be at risk of death or injury? Surely if there were a fire at that hospital no one would say that "well, maybe the patients would have wanted to die anyway, who knows". There is a clear right and obligation to enter the premises to save lives if possible.

It seems fairly obvious that we all know that a murder is about to be committed. What is not clear to me is what level of force is at hand to Judge Greer to enforce his decisions to judicially murder this woman? Is there a round-the-clock security guard at the door of the hospital room (and if so who is paying the salaries)? If one of them were growing a marijuana plant on the windowsill, surely the police department would commence a no-knock raid and forcibly enter any premises they desire, even without a murder about to be committed.

So why is it seemingly impossible to protect life and limb in this case just because a judge wrote something on a piece of paper? Am I missing something?

If, and a big if, a really, really, rich person could offer Michael ALOT of money to stop this thing, and he refused, then one could assume that it is NOT about money but about the fact that Michael does not want Terri to get to better so she could TALK about what really happened that night. That is just my take on it by what I have read about so far.

The statement that the Bush family can do anything they want is, at best, misplaced.

If they could do anything they want, Clinton would never have been President.

"This is untrue. Gov. Bush asked the federal courts to step in. Unfortunately, a federal judge ruled that this is a state matter and refused to intervene."

I'm trying to catch up here, and having a hard time because my computer is only half-way there, so pardon me if this is old news. [I'm trying to clear out my computer to reboot.]

Look at my posts in the forum. On one of the Terri threads last night, a LOT of irregularities were brought up by several FReepers. I brought up the fact that Terri is being held illegally in that $uncoast hospice. Hospices are for the terminally ill. They are for people who are believed to have 6 months or less to live. They are covered by both state and federal law. IMHO, this is not only a state matter, but a federal matter. John Ashcroft, being the Attorney General of the United States, who when confirmed, repeated over and over again, "I will obey the 'rule of law'", is breaking his oath to the Constitution of these United States, by not stepping in yesterday. If Gov. Bush and President Bush do not step in to stop this, they are complicit and derelict in their duties. IMO of course.

In the past, Greer has allowed Michael Schiavo (aka Mike-el-diablo) to use money from Terri's lawsuit winnings for armed guards for him and "for" Terri.

I assume that is also true in the case of the current guard(s).

Greer needs to be impeached for the secret arrangements with Diablo about guardianship details.

I feel the same way you do about Terri's case. It is INSANE that the state of FloriDUH seems ready to let the murder of this woman take place . Thje evidence that something is wrong here is overwhelming. Also I am a nurse- In my opinion , from the brief video tape, it seems that Terri is responding. People in her condition can be be taught to communicate using a Bigmack switch if someone would give her the chance. It's outrageous that she has had NO therapy. FYI Here's a web site with the switches http://www.thesensorycompany.co.uk/catalog/productslist.aspx?categoryID=5&election=22
