Voters concerned about prices amid tariff rollout, upcoming midterms

The Center Square Voters' Voice Poll, conducted by Noble Predictive Insights, surveyed 2,565 registered voters from Oct. 2-6, 2025, via opt-in online panel and text-to-web cell phone messages.

The poll found that 15% of registered voters cited price increases and inflation as their top issues, followed by government corruption (13%), the economy/jobs (11%), health care (9%), illegal immigration (8%), and crime/violence (7%).

"Name anything that's getting less expensive," pollster Mike Noble told The Center Square. "Literally everything is going up from insurance premiums to you name it. More and more is coming out of pocket."

Noble said polls across the country show that voters are frustrated with high costs.

On the campaign trail in 2024, Trump told Americans he would rescue the economy and bring prices down.

Prices have continued to increase. Inflation this year is below the pandemic-era price increases in 2022, when inflation hit its highest level in decades. Still, lots of things are more expensive than they used to be. The price of coffee was up 20.9% over the 12 months ending in August, according to the Labor Department. Ground beef was up 12.8%. Bananas climbed 6.6%. Cereals, dairy, fruits and vegetables got more expensive.

I’m surprised illegal immigration is so low on the list, we can survive everything else besides the Great Replacement

Far left lunatics and Democrat crazies?
Prices are down and inflation is low, far lower than Biden who gave us 40 year high inflation.
Trump is doing great on prices.

Pathetic spin.

Yep. Willing to suffer whatever I have to for him to get the job done. Fire more Federal workers and save money.

From the article: “Prices have continued to increase. Inflation this year is below the pandemic-era price increases in 2022, when inflation hit its highest level in decades. Still, lots of things are more expensive than they used to be.”

Some don’t understand the difference between inflation and prices. Even if inflation goes down, say from 4% to 2%, prices will still increase by 2%. It takes deflation to reduce prices. Deflation is worse than inflation.

You do not want deflation. It is more ruinous than inflation. People can cope with 2%-3% per annum inflation, but not the outrageous price increases the government itself caused with the COVID response. Prices are rather stable now unlike what they were under Biden.

People want jobs? Jobs galore with an America First president, ending endless wars, tariffs, tens of trillions of foreign direct investment in the USA (due to tariffs), getting rid of illegals, getting rid of extremely stupid green energy, cutting back government corruption , waste, and NGOs, and ending H1-B offenses.

Are people too stupid to put 2+2 together?

Gas went down a little bit recently, but everything else still pretty high. Things cost more, but less quality and quantity.

It doesn’t matter how much it costs if you don’t make that much.

I wanted an X-Box SO BAD when I grew up in the 60’s and my Mom and Dad never were able to buy me one. But it’s okay, I know they loved me anyway.

The majority of “voters” haven’t got a clue about what tariffs are or how they affect anything. They’re just not that smart.

Since when have prices ever gone down?

EVERYTHING costs more than it did in the past and that’s been happening for hundreds of years.

Same. Barbie Dream House, which my folks could hardly afford.

BUT - that Christmas Grandpa made us BEAUTIFUL CANOPY BEDS for our Barbie Dolls and Grandma sewed all of the frilly bedding and the Canopy to adorn it!

*Delighted Squeal*

Life could NEVER be more luxurious than that! Whatever was I thinking wanting something made of plastic? :)

Yeah. First World Problems. Some days I am ashamed of myself when I remember the world does NOT revolve around me (Wait! Whut?) and there are people in this world who actually SUFFER for their entire lives.

I have certainly NOT been one of them...by the GRACE of God! Total Luck! The Toss of the Dice!

Mom: This memory reminded me of your BEAUTIFUL doll bed quilts. *HEART*

What a beautiful tribute to your loved ones! Thank you for the smile it put on my face.

Yes, what a blessing I took for granted. I was raised in a nuclear family in a neighborhood of nuclear families... it was the norm! How times have changed.

Me, too! All of the Neighborhood Moms were free to kick your butt if you misbehaved when you were ‘in their yard’ or ‘under their roof’ and no one batted an eye. ;)

My best friend neighbor’s mom washed my mouth out with soap once. Neither of my own parents ever did that! LOL
