Conspiracy theories tying 5G networks to the coronavirus pandemic are troubling telecom authorities in the United Kingdom and are being cited as possible motivation for multiple cellphone tower fires this week.
Fires on at least three towers have been reported over the past few days. In at least two instances, accompanying videos and online posts are raising concerns that the attacks may be linked to conspiracy theories that cast 5G networks as the actual cause of COVID-19.

Sigh. Why do you insist that radiation be ionizing to affect anything?
See also microwaves & popcorn.
See also MRI and imaging.
Harmful...well, what are the proposed mechanisms, and the proposed effects? That’s never very well specified, is it?

Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
Not my fault.
For once, I believe you...
I’m not sure how to feel about being believed for once.
It is suddenly an existential crisis.
Whats the frequency, Kenneth?
The argument may be premature. FWIW.
The 5G / COVID-19 concern is based upon some theories of a pandemic giving justification for a universal vaccination, wherein the vaccine would contain a processor called “Quantum Dots”. The quantum dots are basically very small neuro-processors, which would enter a cell wall upon vaccination, and within 30 min to an hour, the medium introducing them would dissolve, leaving the Quantum Dot isolated within the cell wall, where it would then begin to form a neural net with the host neurological system.
The Quantum Dot could then be controlled and communicated via a 5G system, not previously possible with 4G or 3G.
The concern is that the Quantum Dot injection would become a basis for a Mark of the Beast system controlled via 5G.
Since a worldwide vaccination hasn’t yet begun, this might be a form of Dialectic, with opposition and concern of 5G and COVID-19 being a nutty CT. In this fashion when it is proposed, opposition is already associated with a nutty CT.
Forewarned is fore-armed.
BWAhahahahaha
Posted before but: When I was installing 5g wifi in beach condos back in 2003 I heard many of the same things from the condo bored members about the antennas. Actually came up with a standard response. Microwave antennas are much worse. Watt goes around comes around. And will add microwaves antennas which are directed are very harmful.
I could understand long term damage such as cancer clusters and what not possibly could be due to things like that. This is a virus, how in the would could it spread a virus? I am sorry that is nuts.
And our good buddy Alex Jones is pushing this
Microwave ovens are high powered emitters with wavelengths matched to the ‘resonance’ of water molecules. They are designed to excite and thus heat the water and also the fat/oil in that popcorn bag. Certain military RADARs also can cook/kill tissues. It’s how RF, particularly high powered RF, affects what it penetrates.
Sunlight can burn you thermally and otherwise.
MRI, or magnetic RESONANCE imaging employs lower frequency RF (lower than xray) for form images that is non destructive.
Computed tomography, CAT or PET for example do employ wavelengths that could be harmful if over used. Obviously the ‘harmfulness’ of these wavelengths and wattages can be used for good- like killing tumours.
RF affects what it penetrates.
Let’s say you already knew all that. OK.
Well if you have a modest understanding of RF and biology then it should be easy to infer that a 1/4 watt RF source 15 feet away, with wavelengths 6 orders of magnitude less than Xrays. Is NOT going to hurt you.
I suppose it never occurred to you, that there may be localized bond excitation which have non-ionizing effects but which alter the reactivity of certain species or change the conformation of certain biological chemicals, affecting reaction rates or permeability of membranes to certain species? Or alter the binding sites of enzymes?
Mine is cell physiology ... last century.
I would agree it is not impossible that anything from gravity waves to neutrinos or EMF of any wavelengths *might* be able to affect cell chemistry. It’s plausible. At high energies it IS demonstrable.
But ...
Following that logic, it might be harmful to sit next to your home fridge, or drive your electric car, or walk in sunlight, or .... on and on.
I think (?) my original point is one I will stick with: cell signals are not causing the COVID19 virus to be more or less invasive of a cell membrane. Neither of us has enough data to definitively argue this at the folded key protein interface level.
Enjoy your day. I will leave you the last word of you like.
Just put a mask on the towers.
Dogs and cats living together!
But a helluva lot of people have a helluva lot of money invested in things, and they have been raised from birth not to care about even the possibility of side effects.
And on the other side, you have people who don't understand science at all, and fall for any quack, on specious arguments, that the sky is falling.
And, there's the issue that the body is far more complex than even the experts want to admit (remember when telomeres were dismissed as "junk DNA" with no purpose?)...
As well as the vested interests controlling the money for studies: look at the Gizmodo piece on Coronavirus, which quotes CHINESE studies showing hydroxychloroquine to be ineffective ...for late stage severe cases.
And the powers that be pushing very VERY hard on everything from universal vaccination to global warming.
I'd be less inclined to listen to the fearmongers, except for the identity of the people pressing so damn hard to FORCE 5G.
So I think some slow, careful, well-designed studies are in order.
Got a spare billion or so? ;-D
