Colorado Democrats want to close the “God gap.” It’s the theory in political science that calling yourself religious and regularly attending services are strong predictors of your political party affiliation, and for the past three decades those voters have largely called themselves Republicans.
“We are here today to dispel a myth that somehow right-wing conservatives have a monopoly on faith,” Colorado Democratic Party Chair Morgan Carroll said from behind a podium in Civic Center Park last week. “They do not. Many, many, many Democrats — many people who have been in the party for a long time or who are new to the party — come from strong faith backgrounds.”
In the era of President Donald Trump, which has seen a family separation policy at the U.S. border and rollback of environmental regulations, the state party sees an opening to engage people in their churches, temples and mosques and encourage them to take an active role in shaping public policy with the launch of Colorado FAITH-ful Democrats. Conservative religious groups welcome the new kids on the block, but political scientists have reservations about whether the party can lure people of faith back to their flock.

I do not understand how one can be Christian or even catholic and a democrat. We have a colleague at work who posts all this democrat for life bullspit then goes into the voting. moth and votes for rank baby killers. i suppose he feels righteous because of a few facebook posts. then he goes off to mass at his local church presumably with a clean conscience. i cannot stomach those who vote for baby murder
I believe, sometimes, it’s necessary to give the public a peek at what the Democrats and their agendas mean for America.
Yes, it’s meant to be offensive. 40 years ago, a guy like this wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. Now he’s popular enough that Drudge kept linking stories about him for months. And he’s getting prime time TV on liberal media channels for debate.
I just file it under “sign of the times”. Especially when the Democrats are pimping him as a “man of faith” for the Presidency.

The democRATS are all about sleight of hand. If they actually told their voters were they stood, they couldn't get elected.
At their nominating convention in 2012, party leaders removed references to God and the mention of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. They didn’t merely forget to mention God, in updating previous party platforms, they made a conscious decision to remove Him.
Then they realized that His absence wouldn't play well in Peoria, so they decided to reintroduce it into the platform.
The floor booed God and Jerusalem when they were reintroduced into the party platform. They had to take three voice votes to get it to pass, with the third vote being passed by cheating because there were not enough "ayes" to pass it.
They knew the voters outside the political orbit wouldn't like that, so they artificially rammed it back into the platform. They wanted to approve the amendment quickly because they didn't want to give American voters the opportunity see just how radical the democRATic party had become.
Now they think they can become the party of faith with another phony-baloney scheme to make it appear they are for God again.
The democRAT party, the party of deceit.

They’re a GODLESS party and it shows. It wasn’t anything the “right” did - it is the result of their decisions.
Demonrats have plenty of "faith". They have faith in 'almighty' government, socialism/communism, political power that grows from the barrel of a gun (as Mao Tse Tung said), and their elitist leaders. Many Demonrats also have faith, as Saul Alinsky (Hillary's mentor) expressed, in Lucifer, god of this world.
Faith in God? They denounced God THRICE at their last convention. They MURDER their offspring up to and after birth. They support elite politicians who traffic in young girls and boys, to have sex with them.
I'll say it: the Demonrat party is completely devoid of real devotion to the God of the Bible, and any Demonrat who says different is DECEIVED themselves.
