Joe Biden told a harrowing story during an event in 2017 about facing down a razor-wielding gang leader named Corn Pop in his youth by threatening to “wrap” a chain around the man’s head. The incident came back into the spotlight over the weekend when footage of Biden’s remarks began circulating social media.
The former vice president, who has come under scrutiny in recent weeks for embellishing portions of his personal and political life, told the story when being honored with having a community pool named after him in a Wilmington, Delaware, historically black neighborhood. Biden had reportedly been the only white lifeguard at the pool during the early 1960s when segregation was still in effect.
The event started with Biden discussing how his time as a lifeguard had opened his eyes about racial injustice and privilege. It, however, quickly took a strange turn when Biden, flanked by children from the local community, decided to recount a nearly violent altercation he had at the pool with a misbehaving swimmer.

Well, I could say you can’t make stuff like this up, but he obviously did. I saw Hilton on Fox News picked up on it tonight; let’s see if any other media shows report it.

incredibly..the story is true!!!!!...they found people supporting the story....this gang member died in 2013. His nick name was Corn Pop. Joe survives this one...lol

A whole lot of people in rough neighborhoods are laughing at that corny tale.
Yeah,he screwed it up. Corn Pop died in ‘58 after a melon ball incident. His Brother, Sugar Pop took over briefly before going to prison. Sugar Pop couldn’t swim, so Joe’s encounter had to be with the next in line to head the Wilmington chapter of the Milkmen gang. That would have been Lucky Charm.
How would he do against the frosted flakes?
Hillary Clinton remembers that She dodged bullets from Corn Pop's gang who were trying to "bust a cap in Her A$$" while She Held Corn Pop's legs down.
Dan Rather remembers taking time out from "Saving the Nation by Proving" Bush lied, to help Biden out in bringing Corn Pop under control.
Michael Moore remembers threatening to "cook and eat" Corn Pop, if necessary, to get Him under control.
