US President Donald Trump will be joining PM Narendra Modi at a mega event in Houston named "Howdy, Modi!". The September 22 event will be the first time a US president and Indian Prime Minister will be addressing a joint rally.
Amid speculation if Trump would join PM Modi at the Houston event, White House issued a statement to confirm that he would attend the rally. This is the third successive meeting between Trump and PM Modi within the span of a few weeks after the G20 and G7 summits.
More than 50,000 Indian-Americans from across the US have registered for the September 22 mega "Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures" event to be held at the sprawling NRG Stadium in Houston.
"Howdy", short for 'How do you do?', is a friendly greeting commonly used in southwestern United States and the event has been designed as a greeting to PM Modi.

I don’t believe they’re all from Houston or even Texas. Many Indians are entrepreneurs who many times employ Americans. Your ancestors didn’t come from somewhere else?
I've had firsthand experience with large Indian communities for 20 years now.
They overwhelmingly only hire others from India, or barring that, other southeast Asian countries. And hiring women or African Americans? Nope!
The H1-B epidemic has set back the cause of HONEST, REAL racial equality in the tech fields by 30 years. AND NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE.

I will 2nd your observation. I work in the Pharmaceutical Industry and the same thing that happened with the H1-B visas.
Once a Patel is made a supervisor or manager, then the whole department will be only Patels. If a White or Black gets put into that department they will sabotage them (Only talk in their language, never train them, steal their lunch, etc). Very Nasty people.
Indian companies are worse, they will only hire non-Indians for Sales or Regulatory positions, just to look legitimate to the outside. And the amount of fraud and lack of Quality Control is staggering, most are in trouble with the FDA. I would highly recommend never to take a drug manufactured here or aboard by an Indian company.

Not all. but even amongst them Trump is likely to be the first choice for President. Maybe not the Republican party as such, but a lot of people I know say Trump is the best president so far. They were Obama voters.
I am a banker and will never lend to a person from India ever again.
From my experience, they’re either good or bad but most are bad when they run in to any type of situation that doesn’t benefit them. They don’t just ignore you, they run from you and will even move back to India just to save a few thousand dollars or, more importantly, to escape the obligations they have incurred in the U.S..
I always find a legal way to avoid lending in Los Angeles, Broward County, Armenians, and people from India.
My experience with Indians in the business world has been that they protect themselves first and shun responsibility when things go wrong.
