Most demolitions of places of worship are court ordered and the only inter-caste tension is caused by politicians for votes. You only quote AAP sources. The AAP is desperate because its govt is in danger.Kejriwal has lost his halo and is seen only as another crooked socialist politician

There is a slowdown in the economy because banks are not lending due to the bad debts caused by the crony capitalism of the previous gov't . the chickens are coming home to roost.

What has been banned is not conversion as such but monetary inducements (aka bribing)and fanning religious hatred. Of course, this is the way that evangelists operate and hence the howls of persecution.For what its worth, I am covent educated, studied in a school which had a small statue of Jesus on the cross in each classroom and said the Lords prayer everyday. Those teachers were real missionaries. The current lot is the opposite, I'm afraid.

Now only numbers matter.Evangelists don Saffron robes like Hindu monks and recite Sanskrit Shlokas normally recited in temples, but wear the Cross and slip in Jesus's name in the Shloka. Its a numbers game because of the money involved. Many of the "converted" still believe they are Hindu while going to church. Even Hindu symbols like "Om" have been appropriated. Just my 2 paise.

Regarding nationalism, it is a counter to the Liberals attack on the nation and the founding fathers. If at all any religion is a factor, then it is not Christianity. Please see beyond the evangelists version of the "truth" to see that their allegations are mostly fund raising efforts.

I cannot deny your experience. But India is a large nation with 28 states and 28 different cultures.

Where I am, millions of dollars worth of diamonds change hands daily on verbal promises. Money too is transferred this way. It works on an honour system. This has been going on for decades. Now however the get rich quick types are popping up on the radar leading to Govt intervention. This will butcher the system.

As far as honesty goes I would say that the average man on the street in India is no less honest the the average Joe in the US. As for business-people, we both have our own experiences.

lol/ The Chief justice is the son of a longstanding Congress Chief Minister. Most senior judges are Congress appointees. Chandrachud says he is pro-Christian. In Modis pocket? That’s not how it works.
The massive frauds being uncovered now are from loans given to UPA cronies. Obviously since the banks are now forced to recognise the losses, they stop lending.
