The Democrats lining up to take on Donald Trump are smashing records.
They comprise the most racially diverse field, the field with the most female candidates, the only field to include an openly gay candidate in the top contenders.
And, no surprise here, the field contains the greatest number of candidates known to date. At the date of publication, 24 Democrats had officially raised their hands to run.
We're here with a cheat sheet to try and help you make sense of the massive 2020 field. How will we separate the wheat from the chaff?
There are just 20 spots for the debates, and the Democratic National Committee offers only two paths for getting to the stage: •Breaking 1 per cent in three polls approved by the DNC •Tallying 65,000 unique campaign donors, with at least 200 of those donors coming from different states.
It's not a perfect system, but with a field this large and a race in the early stages, we'll use this criteria as a way to see where a candidate stands in relation to the others.

The 2020 Democratic Party Presidential Debates will require a very large Town Hall with seating for hundreds.
And of course, that’s just for the candidates!

Beside the 24 major candidates, more than 230 other candidates who did not meet the criteria above to be deemed major, also filed with the Federal Election Commission to run for president in the Democratic Party primary.

It's going to be fun to watch the media try to pull a reverse Megan Kelly with so many candidates. How can they possibly come up with so many softball questions to appease them all?
Or will they just take their marching orders from the DNC old guard? And choose their media favorites out of the starting gate?
Dems must have written into their campaign laws that the candidates get to keep funds raised for public office campaigns as tax-free personal income. That’s the only reason I can see 80% of these candidates running for the office.
The story does break down who has qualified for the first round and which have not.
Sen. Michael Bennett and Mayor Bill De Blasio have so far not qualified.
On the other hand, Marianne Williamson, Oprah’s spiritual guru, has qualified in both criteria.
it’s all about giving all these Dems and their party name recognition prior to 2020, plus eat up a whole lot of MSM time, which could better be spent getting to the bottom of Spygate/RussiaGate/etc.
No only Trump is running for President. The rest are vying for humiliating defeat!
The rat-candidates will all sit together before their debate at the Kennedy Center and pleasure themselves to a movie of President Trump Burning at the Stake.
