A Chicago-based newspaper columnist predicted re-election for President Trump in 2020 after witnessing first-hand the enthusiastic support for the president among blue-collar workers.
Neil Steinberg attended a recent appearance by the president at a U.S. Steel facility in Granite City, Illinois, outside St. Louis. He wrote about speaking to steel workers and seeing how Trump connected with the audience.
"We need steel," Trump said. “We need steel plants. And to see an old, big monster plant like this re-opening — that is an honor. I look at the faces of you people; I could be one of you. I like you guys. I could be one of you.”
Steinberg concluded:
The workers, for their part, couldn’t give him a standing ovation because they never sat down.
I left the hall thinking: Donald Trump is going to be re-elected in 2020. The Democrats don’t have anyone who can touch him. Bank on it. Don’t hate me for being the one to tell you.
Laura Ingraham discussed Steinberg's piece with Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, who noted the ongoing "culture war" between elitists on the coasts of the country and workers across the heartland.
“People who think that jobs being lost at the New York Daily News is a national tragedy, but jobs being lost in the steel industry is totally fine because those are a bunch of rubes in the rust belt anyway,” Shapiro said, explaining that Trump excels at speaking to "dirty job" workers and convincing them that he is fighting for them....

Steinberg is a Royal A.H, lib, as you might expect, he is a disgrace compared with the inimitable Mike Royko.
But this just confirms what we already know. Stay away from the coasts a tsunami is coming.
Welcome to the party... told everyone Trump would be the nominee and win the White House going right up the upper Midwest and have said that he will handily win re-election in 2020.
Not only will Trump win in 2020, but short of a complete economic collapse.. or Trump abandoning the America First/MAGA agenda, he will win 2020 by taking all but the deepest of blue states.
Let them stay that way. They convince themselves they’re winning when they’re losing in reality...same thing in the last cycle. If they can’t learn then it is what they deserve. People might have listened to polls in the past but I believe what happened during 2016 has given most people the perspective they’re just a tool to try and sway opinion. It won’t work anymore.
Anytime somebody states a poll I have to ask them, “you still listen to polls?”. Same for the media. I love it when leftists cite “fact checkers” because I get to ask them, “if the media is so honest why the need for ‘fact checkers’?”, along with, “how do you know the ‘fact checkers’ aren’t just another layer of manipulating media?”. It’s incredibly naive. It’s all to spread big lies.

I've had "dirty" jobs...Plumbed swimming pools...dug ditches.

Got into health care...and had dirty jobs there too....Vomited...on.., spit on...bled on. Wiped poop..a time or too.......
