A Chicago-based newspaper columnist predicted re-election for President Trump in 2020 after witnessing first-hand the enthusiastic support for the president among blue-collar workers.
Neil Steinberg attended a recent appearance by the president at a U.S. Steel facility in Granite City, Illinois, outside St. Louis. He wrote about speaking to steel workers and seeing how Trump connected with the audience.
"We need steel," Trump said. “We need steel plants. And to see an old, big monster plant like this re-opening — that is an honor. I look at the faces of you people; I could be one of you. I like you guys. I could be one of you.”
Steinberg concluded:
The workers, for their part, couldn’t give him a standing ovation because they never sat down.
I left the hall thinking: Donald Trump is going to be re-elected in 2020. The Democrats don’t have anyone who can touch him. Bank on it. Don’t hate me for being the one to tell you.
Laura Ingraham discussed Steinberg's piece with Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, who noted the ongoing "culture war" between elitists on the coasts of the country and workers across the heartland.
“People who think that jobs being lost at the New York Daily News is a national tragedy, but jobs being lost in the steel industry is totally fine because those are a bunch of rubes in the rust belt anyway,” Shapiro said, explaining that Trump excels at speaking to "dirty job" workers and convincing them that he is fighting for them....

I don’t believe there will be anything close to a Blue Wave in the midterms. Trump is set to campaign his butt off between now and election day. There is no one on the dem side that can come close to doing that. Even 0bama said he’s just going to concentrate on fundraising events, with few, if any rallies. The fact that CNN’s ratings are declining, the New York Post is tanking, and the racist NYT has leaped from the closet and openly declared their hatred of white people, are all indications that the midterms are going to do well for the republicans.
While I understand the sentiment, please, President Trump, do NOT put on brightly colored parachute pants.
I think you meant the New York Daily News. The Post is somewhat conservative (for New York) and is owned by the same people as Fox News and the Wall Street Journal.

This Neil Steinberg is the same whippo who tried to purchase an AR-15 to show how easy it was and couldn’t pass the background check. (Got drunk and smacked around his wife) He then claimed that they wouldn’t sell him the gun because he was a journalist. This man is as hard left as they come. I have to think that if he says this, he’s one of the few who actually has had his eyes opened. But, of course, do not underestimate the hatred and downright dishonesty of the hard left.

She openly declares her disgust and contempt of white men.

Yet, the NYT has doubled down in it’s defense of hiring her.
That’s the latest narrative being tried by the Bush League Republicans, I’ve heard it being pushed by others, it won’t work any more than the others.
Yes, needs to revamp the show. Get rid of Parino, Williams, and Waters. How about adding Katrina Pierson to the show? Maybe a chance to rehabilitate Chris Christie?
