American politics is a wonder for the world to behold. Our free speech traditions produce all kinds of interesting folderol, over the top in its theatrics and yet usually deeply meaningful to those participating in it.
It was on display Monday, in front of the United States Supreme Court building, appearing seemingly by magic moments after President Donald Trump announced he’d chosen D.C. Appellate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy. The right was there. And the left, each itching to get their point across. They had signs, including some urging opposition to nominees not picked, pre-printed just in case. They chanted and opined for the cameras and had a raucous time as those in the crowd—which was a lot smaller than it looked on TV—tried to out-shout each other.
It was messy and it was noisy and it was wonderful. It’s the way things in America are sometimes supposed to be when the stakes are high. But this kind of expression also has a dark side, one that some politicians and prominent figures on the left are irresponsibly stoking of late as part of their campaign of massive resistance to President Trump.
Go back to the Obama years or even to the Clinton presidency and you won’t be able to find many or even any examples of political activists chasing down presidential appointees in shopping malls, harassing them at their homes, confronting them in restaurants, or taking the opportunity to “dox” folks by giving out phone numbers and addresses of people with whom they disagreed. The opposition to these administrations was fierce but largely remained, at a personal level, civil....

I think we are at that point. Someone needs to call BS on this and start arresting organizers and funders for criminal conspiracy to commit murder.

You underestimate their leadership. All that matters is total control or else the destruction of the country. They do not care if their staffers are killed in the process. Every Leftist Revolution of the last 110 years has featured lots and lots and lots of blood on both sides (and much much more blood on the losing side just after the Lefties win, inevitably). Michael Moore is already calling for the pawns to sacrifice there bodies for the cause.

Another fear of mine is that some on the Left may start targeting Conservative radio talk show hosts. If you’re Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh III, Hugh Hewitt, and so on, you definitely want armed guard security almost 24/7.

Every Leftist News Media talker will say “Trump’s rhetoric incited a rightwinger to commit an unforgivable act of violence as he attempted to take away the free speech right of a demonstrator on this sad, sad day for America.”
Then, “Isn’t it time, America, the authorities confiscate all guns from zealots associated with hate groups such as registered GOP voters,conservative talk show hosts and members of the male white supremacist ruling class? Yes.”
The Left have been out of control from the start.. They have beaten up, threatened supporters of Trump and attempted to murder Republican politicians.. Marxist Media barely covers it.. When they do they blame the victims.
...as soon as it ceases to have any effect on policy, and governing, whatsoever.
They’re trying to say, “Boo”, and scare us into the corner...when that stops working they’ll stop OR till the harassed stand up and kick the $h/+ out of the harassers.
If you’re Michael Medved or Hugh Hewitt, you’re safe, they recognize that you’re on their side.
Too bad conservatives don’t.
When I was a kid my grandmother had a homemade pistol, 22 caliber long, double barrel, one combined hammer, was only 4 to 5 inches long, couldn’t hit the ground from 10 feet, but was made to stick in the belly or groin, she always said that if anybody made her use it she was aiming low. She was a tough bird. I think I will aim low too.

Few if any commentators in the good media mention that freedom of political assembly is supposed to be protected.
People asking others to sign a ballot petition, having an open outdoor assembly to have candidates speak and answer questions,an indoor meeting with voters or constituents such as to answer citizens’ concerns, or a campaign event.
ALL of these are denied to conservatives.
People hear that violence is expected as “sides may clash again” meaning Antifa will gas,beat,hit with metal objects, or kick random conservatives in a crowd to start a fight. The media will say both sides clashed. Oh, yeah?
Then only twelve voters will show up and this chills political freedom. Wrong to do.
D'Souza is another flavor of The Great Game that Democrats play.
Starting with Nixon, the goal has always been to smear Republican administrations as "criminal", and Democrat administrations as "scandal-free".
It helps the Democrats immensely that the Uniparty "Republicans" play along.
Did you know that NO ONE in the Clinton administration was prosecuted for a felony? No one.
That's to say nothing of the felonious "scandal-free" Zerobama administration.
Yet, look at all the "felons" in Republican administrations.
I didn't realize what was going on until a Lefty rubbed my nose in it some years ago.

And how about we focus a bit on the harassment of Trump supporters? Tens of thousands showed up at Trump rallies to assault elderly rallygoers in several cities during the Primaries. Children get hats stolen and drinks thrown on them. Rallies with valid permits are allowed to be disrupted by paid thugs with masks and weapons who have no valid permits. The examples are endless.
