FARGO About three dozen people have been treated for medical issues outside Scheels Arena here, where crowds have been lined up all day on Wednesday, June 27, for an evening rally and speech by President Donald Trump.
Deputy Police Chief Joe Anderson said emergency responders have treated several people for dehydration and heat exhaustion, and another person for diabetic complications.
The temperature in Fargo just before 4 p.m. was in the upper 80s.
Anderson said none of the medical issues appeared to be serious.
Scheels Arena opened its doors just before 4 p.m. and Forum reporter Kim Hyatt, who was on scene, said it was like the floodgates opened as people filed in to escape the heat.
Just before 5 p.m., a source in a medical tent outside the arena said about three dozen people had been treated for heat-related illnesses so far, including five who were ultimately sent to local hospitals.
Anderson said they anticipated some heat issues after seeing what happened leading up to a Trump rally in Duluth, Minn., one week ago.
There, people were treated for heat exhaustion while waiting in a section of skywalk to see Trump at Amsoil Arena.
The passage had no air conditioning and some estimated the temperature inside at more than 100 degrees.
Red Heat.
89 degrees with 26% humidity. Wind NNW at 11 mph. Not a bad day in Fargo at all.
It would be devastating for an old broad like the hildabeast but no big deal for regular people.
ND has summers?
People are chanting “RED WAVE”.
12 hours in the sun, just to see Trump. Someone please tell me again, how it’s the Left that’s energized.
I lived there for 35 years. Viscious winters, Nasty summers.
It’s not the Trump, it’s the humidity.
Hydrate, folks.

I was just kidding :) My brother went to Sturgis years ago and he noticed how hot it was in August. But that’s OK. The heat made those hot biker chicks take off their tops,,I mean, umm, made them feel comfortable.
What time is the rally?

Yes, but during July and August the mosquito hunting is excellent. It’s a good time to stock up on meat for the winter.

I was in Iowa city for college during 2 summers. It was hot and humid! In winters it dropped to 25 below at times.
