Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, Republican Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.) came out swinging Wednesday, publicly criticizing two members of his own party: President Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
During Christies rounds on cable news early Wednesday morning, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski asked the governor whether he agreed with Trumps decision last week to pardon former Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was convicted of federal criminal contempt after disobeying a court order to stop targeting Latinos in his illegal alien sweeps.
My understanding has always been that one of the prerequisites you look for in giving a pardon is contrition for what you were convicted of, Christie said. I didnt see that in Sheriff Arpaio.
This is not one that I would have done, Christie added.
Christie, who appeared on MSNBCs Morning Joe primarily to discuss the federal governments handling of Hurricane Harvey, was even more brazen when addressing Cruzs recent remarks defending his vote against the $50 billion Hurricane Sandy relief bill in 2013. Cruz told MSNBCs Katy Tur on Monday that he voted against the relief package because two-thirds of the bill contained unrelated pork and expenses that had nothing to do with assistance for Sandy victims.
The worst thing about it and this is why politics has become so cynical in Washington is statements like that. He should just stand up and say, You know what, I was wrong,' Christie said. What was wrong was for Ted Cruz to exploit the disaster for political gain thats what he was doing.
When asked by co-host Joe Scarborough to describe Cruz in one word, Christie simply said, Crap.(continued)

World’s biggest bloviator.
He did manage to get involved in a personal exchange with a caller.
He is toxic.
9% approval in New Jersey
For a fleeting moment, I thought that Christie was hot s**t.
Then I found that I was only half right.
Wasn’t that the caller from Montclair who told him to keep his fat @ss off the beach? I didn’t hear him on the air, but audio clips of that exchange have made the rounds on other NYC radio stations. LOL.
Another stupor jeenyis Repubic.
A dime a dozen for these worthless piles of crap.
Methinks Gov. Christie should shut the hell up and shut down another public beach so he has somewhere to vacation over Labor Day.
“This is not one that I would have done, Christie added. “
One more reason we are glad Christie is NOT president today.
But he still should be ashamed of himself.

This is a pardon, not Confession! Jeeze, christie, why don’t you ask how many Hail Mary’s Araio had to say??
I am sure Mark Rich was very contrite. Christie is a very conflicted blubber ball.
I’m sure he will have a job in the WH soon.
Maybe he only has support from the morbidly obese voters???
Accent on “biggest”!!!

The New Jersey Doughboy: who cares what this man thinks?
Gov. Christie is going to be a very astute, very well known
former politician who has very few friends on either side of the isle. Sad. Sort of like Alan Grayson, the senator who said republicans want citizens to ‘Die Quickly’ in order to keep health care expenses low. Nobody likes Alan right now, politically speaking.
Christie will soon be a Birthday Boy on Sept. 9th.
He will only be 54 y/o. I can see him stepping back into the ring after a seven to ten year ‘hiatus’.
“I’ll Be Back...as soon as I finish dessert!”
The Sheriff was the target of a Political persecution, something done in Third World Banana Republics.
He need not be contrite for his being Pardoned.
Senator Ted Cruz Voted against a bloated Democrat Slush Fund Bill that was initially intended to provide help to the Victims of Hurricane Sandy. If the Bill was directed specifically to Disaster Relief, Senator Cruz would Voted for it.
The Democrats (with the help of some RINO’s) set up a no win Porkulus Jr. scenario and it’s Cruz’s fault. Got it.
I love the effect that President Trump has on RINOs and GOPes. Every little thing he says or does flushes them out into the open. Now all that remains is (metaphorically speaking) for a hunter to pick them off.
Cruz and Krispie: The illegal mexican open border labor lobby.
Sheriff Joe was tried and convicted by the petty vindictive leftist obama/RINO regime, for actually enforcing the law.
A full Presidental pardon is the least that we can do.
Jersey “Chubbs” is just looking for some face time...and a new job.
