JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. A Missouri lawmaker who temporarily posted a Facebook comment expressing hope that President Donald Trump would be assassinated could face an effort to remove her from office.
Gov. Eric Greitens and Lt. Gov. Mike Parson, both Republicans, said on Friday that state senators should oust Democratic Sen. Maria Chapelle-Nadal, who has continued to reject calls for her resignation.
"If she will not resign, the Senate can vote to remove her. I believe they should," Greitens said in a written statement....

“two-thirds vote”
Can it be done to a protected affirmative action class member?
Missouri is still a red state, so the other politicians there fear consequences of doing nothing.
If this happened in California, it would all be a big joke
In Missouri it can!
The legislature doesn’t care what the left thinks.
This is it. Now we’ll see if republicans stand up to the plate. Will they, as a Minimum, speak out for the very life of the President? This evil creature needs to be in the unemployment line yesterday.
Dey B Raschuus.
Dey B Raschuus.
What a concept!
East St. Louis is not part of the red state. Is that her district?.
The dimoKKKRATS will be trying to protect McCaskill’s Senate seat. I predict she will be gone to prevent a campaign issue.
Left or right, it doesn’t matter. No elected official should advocate assassination of political foes. That outright disqualifies one for political office, apologies notwithstanding. In this case, she even refuses to apologize—not that would make any difference. This is a line that must not be crossed.
BTW, I absolutely despise politicans who DO apologize and “accept full blame and responsibility” for various blunders but are not held accountable in any real way or resign. Again, there are certain lines in civil society that must not be crossed by elected officials, and once crossed, resignation is the only honorable way of taking responsibility.
Ya she is a charming negress. So she’s a protected class.
She should not even get that chance. She should be spending the next 30-life years in some dank dark prison. Non negotiable.
Good! She is not worthy to be a state senator!
Even that boob McCaskill wants her gone.
Nasty re-election issue if she stays put.
Send a video clip of the hearing to Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell....
Can she be impeached?
Missouri State Senate: 23 GOP, 9 Dems, 2 vacant.
Make it so.
No . . . East St Louis is in Illinois.
Ha, well geography was not my strong point.
