Joe Biden should announce he’s running for president in 2020. Right now.
Democrats need a singular voice representing the party. And as we saw in the recent Georgia special congressional election, that voice should not be Nancy Pelosi.
Cut the coy. Cut the Mario Cuomo routine. Just throw down Joe. You know you want to.
If you announce now, the next two years become a debate between you and Donald Trump. You become the shadow president.
You’ve earned it. You deserve it. You regret you didn’t run last time. Because you’d probably be president right now. Beating Hillary in the primary would have been tough, but if you had, you sure as hell would have had a compelling economic message in the general election in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin for those lunch bucket voters you know so well. And, therefore, would have won.
Every elected Democrat with an ounce of ambition is positioning themselves to run. But it's just creating 100 Davids against the one Goliath in DC. There is a lot of potential talent coming up through the ranks, but if you’ve got an old Babe Ruth hanging around the locker room, put him on the field. More importantly, a Biden candidacy now could eliminate, at least temporarily, the emerging rift between progressives and centrists. Biden has respect and credibility from both camps. And he could keep that fight from spilling over into a civil war that could kill chances for 2018 and 2020.
Democrats need a Goliath of their own to focus and dominate the message. And Joe, you’re it.....

I’m all for this idea, it will suck the oxygen (and funding) from all the other potential Democrap candidates, and in the end I don’t think SloJo will be at all a powerful candidate by 2020. Not only his advanced age but the fact that he will epitomize the “old” Democrap Party and will take away the “anti-white-male” animus of Democrap campaigning.... sure they will still play all the usual cards but it will be harder for them to play up race and gender issues when running a white male older than President Trump.

All the Liberals that voted for TRUMP in PA, MI & WI has gotten to see TRUMP work & they do seem satisfied so TRUMP isn't this mystery candidate anymore so Biden loses his advantage

they need a throw away candidate for Trumps re-election. Plus all of the dem candidates are too corrupt or radical to get elected. Don’t see anyone emerging. Lastly, Trump is snowballing on economics and national security and he will be hard to beat.

Joe Biden is going to be 75 in November. He’s had at least TWO surgeries for brain cancer. And this guy wants him to run for POTUS in ‘20?
Slow Joe is a likable enough fellow I suppose but I like to think America would have seen through that good old boy let’s have a beer routine and realized we are talking President here.
I believe he is one of the reasons obambam didn’t get whacked while in office.
Biden was a better VP candidate than Kaine.
Joe used laughter and eye rolls to throw Ryan off and nailed him with Ryan’s request for stimulus bucks when Ryan brought up what a waste the stimulus was.
Kaine tried to do the same thing with Pence, but just came off as weird and unhinged.
I think Biden could of beat Hillary but was stopped by people high up in the democrat party. Probably Obama.
I think you’re right about 2016. Biden would of picked up some of the white blue collar vote that abandoned the canckle legged one. And he would of had a better message than Trump’s a bad man and I’m not Trump.
