The man suspected of opening fire on Republican members of the congressional baseball team early Wednesday morning was distraught over the election of President Trump and traveled to Washington in recent weeks to protest, his brother said on Wednesday.
The suspect, James Thomas Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Ill., died in a Washington hospital after a shootout with the police.
I know he wasnt happy with the way things were going, the election results and stuff, his brother, Michael Hodgkinson, said in a telephone interview shortly after he received the news on Wednesday. He added that he was not close to his brother and had not been aware why he remained in Washington.
Totally out of the blue, he added, saying that his brother was engaged in politics but otherwise led a normal life.
Michael Hodgkinson said his sister had spoken with the shooting suspects wife on Tuesday. According to his account, the wife said that Mr. Hodgkinson had called home to say he was planning to come home because he missed his wife and dogs.....

New York Times: Never lose an opportunity to turn lawlessness into a political point. They are taunting us: “See what happens when you resist us and call us Fake News.”
One thing we can do is start a campaign to make fake journalists feel like fools and afraid to go home for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Shame in the public square is maybe the most powerful thing we can do. Have a march on the New York Times!
Many were not too happy with eight years of Bubba Clinton either. It never seems to occur to these “progressives” that the political winds are constantly shifting, and that sometimes their side won’t win. It’s just part of life in our system. They should move to Cuba or North Korea if they want to live in a permanent socialist state.
This guy was an avid watcher of CNN. I don’t know this for a fact but I am going to go New York Times on the story and just claim it. Spread the news.
When caught in the act, they’re not ‘suspects’.
Only problem with this idea, in New York there are only illegal aliens, and Muslims...they are not going to do anything but block the streets again...
The Gov. and the Mayor are two peas in the same pod, and until we can get them out of there including ‘Clown Schumer’ nothing will be done...
The times is own by a Carlos someone who has Mexico behind him...Washington Post is owned by Jeff Boozo; best thing to do is go after their sponsors, which I am working on...
I know the liberal drumbeat on my local liberal rag will be gun control. Will see if there is a peep about the hate going on that you summarized.
Blood on their hands.
Again, it’s a sham by the NYT.
To be a news article worthy of reading, the first five words of the article should read: “The male perpetrator that opened fire.....”, the perp was killed in the act. As it now reads I say, “shame on them” (I’m being polite); and their trash isn’t worthy of being used as a bird cage liner.
As far as those hate spewing celebrities are concerned, that is on the media too. That disgusting sewage shouldn’t be given any attention in the media, unless it’s to describe their actions as treason.
The MSM will never cover this... thanks for the ping.
Lets use techniques from Game of Thrones. Every family member should be punished.
The constant hate media ginned this guy up.
The constant hate media ginned this guy up.
Every decent American spent eight years distraught over Obama taking power, but we’re decent people. We didn’t shoot up a crowd over that national disaster. Liberals are mentally ill, and even the marginally normal ones seem to be losing what few ties to reality they used to have.
I agree that hitting them in the pocketbook is important, but also we need to have new media.
On the newsstand at the airport you should be able to buy the MAGA equivalent of Time magazine. Long term, this must be done. We are waiting for a publisher in the conservative side to step up and start producing stuff for our side.
Good luck with that! Not to be pessimistic but we’ll not see this in our lifetime. Too much nuclear water under the bridge to clean. Education: if we begin immediately, the next generation (should they survive) might see the beginnings of a start.
:)
Can’t be done, huh? You’d be surprised. I know a New York businessman who ran for...
