Donald Trump met with Sen. Ted Cruz on Capitol Hill Thursday -- the first meeting between the two former bitter campaign rivals since Cruz suspended his presidential campaign.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was also in the meeting, according to sources. This was Trump's second trip to Capitol Hill in two months.
With less than two weeks before the Republican National Convention commences in Cleveland, Trump is looking to shore up support with the GOP's rank-and-file even as he faces backlash from members of his party. Some Republicans who are facing a tough re-election battle have chosen to skip the convention while others declined to meet with Trump this morning....

I agree with you about Cruz. A friendly Cruz will make for a smooth convention.
I just had the hallucination that the grudge-holding Trump invited the loathed-by-almost-all Cruz to speak at the convention. I'm sure it cannot be a fact or reality but because I have such a tenuous grasp, I thought I'd check.
I hope trump has conditions.
