That’s a major stink-bomb thrown into the Democrats’ camp. The cultural-Marxist Left has for years been hard at work inventing a succession of provocations designed to paint ordinary Americans and the country’s traditions as racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted, intolerant, you name it – when there is a real villain out there which would bleed the Left just as dry as the Right, and rather than recognize that threat they’ve made excuses for it and played along with the fiction that vigilance against sharia Islam and the creeping civilizational jihad infecting Western countries is another form of bigotry.
Well, now with Orlando we see that sharia Islam and the gay community are not going to coexist. And you can’t blame this on Christian conservatives, and you can’t blame it on Donald Trump, and you can’t blame it on guns. The Left is going to have to choose. Will it choose to preserve Western civilization, which stands for human liberty and some concept of public virtue based in the Judeo-Christian tradition, or will it abandon that civilization and stand by as Islam fills the void?

He did, after all, show everyone just how easy it is to gun down 100+ people in a gay nightclub. Anyone could have done this at any time over the last 200 years, but for some reason it never happened despite all the hand-wringing from these knuckleheads about "the Christian right."

I agree. The moment I saw him comment on this I cringed. Why he thinks anybody cares shows he's still delusional. I doubt he'll even get reelected.

I appreciate the wise words from Ted Cruz.
I would, however like to offer one criticism of what he said.
No community is going to coexist with islam.
islam is the mortal enemy of all that is not islam.
Until we understand the truth and speak the truth of our mortal enemy, we are going to continue to suffer casualties and losses.
But thank you, Ted, for moving the conversation in the necessary and proper direction.
