Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said he understands the anger against Donald Trump that fueled violence at a Thursday rally but denounced the protesters that harassed and assaulted Trump supporters.
"I understand how reprehensible and disgraceful Donald Trump’s positions are, how ignorant they are, how much he is appealing— and I can understand the anger, I surely can," Sanders said at a press conference in Berkeley, Calif., Friday. "The bigotry that is coming from his mouth, the insults to the Mexican community, the Latino community and the Muslim community, and women, and African-Americans, and veterans. I understand the anger.
"But we are not going to defeat Trump, you know, by throwing eggs or getting involved in violence of any kind. We defeat Trump when we stand together as one people and fight for a progressive agenda."
Anti-Trump protests at a Thursday rally in San Jose turned violent as his supporters left the event, with protesters harassing, following and assualting attendees.
When asked Friday about Trump protesters who supported him, Sanders said he didn't want supporters who would turn to violence.

If this were a Republican, the headline would be: Bernie Sanders Finally Accepts Responsibility For Attacks By Thugs. The subheadline would be: Though the candidate may be urging more violent action, disparages the use of eggs, says nothing about hitting and beating on opponents.
coz Sanders knows so well that his “we” includes all the vicious thugs who have been violently attacking peaceful Trump supporters.....

I hate to say it, but my daughter is one of them. She advocates violence and killing the rich. She is a college grad that’s pure communist. I no longer speak to her.

Actually, they are going to elect Trump by throwing eggs. Every time a pretty, blond, white woman is backed up against a wall by ethnic men, spit on and egged and manages to keep her composure and a smile on her face, more voters are going to say they’ve had enough.
With social media, the old media will not be able to frame this narrative they way they used to.
Would it be fair to say that Bernie and Hillary have joined the terrorists by inflicting violence and intimidation on Trump supporters?
