(CNN)Donald Trump's campaign is scrambling to ramp up its planning for the general election, including scraping together a list of potential vice presidential candidates, after Trump abruptly became the presumptive Republican nominee Tuesday night.
The Trump campaign, blindsided by rival Ted Cruz's sudden exit from the race, is now beginning internal deliberations about potential vice presidential candidates, two Trump campaign sources tell CNN.

Sessions, but I would hope Trump would let him do more than attend state funerals and bridge dedications. I would see him as having an expanded role in foreign policy and national security issues.

Palin has been with Trump from the start and has a former staff member working on Trump campaign, same as Sessions. Palin will be making appearnaces for Trump next few weeks and how she is received will help ascertain her ranking for VP job instead of Cabinet position.
Knowing Trump, everyone in his administration will have considerable responsibilities.....

I'm so fed up with Newt being a constant guest on Hannity. Maybe he is slipping and can't get anybody else. I suppose he is intelligent and knows well the ways of Washington, but I can't stand him.

I’m with you. Would happily contribute to, campaign and vote for Sessions. Palin belongs in Trump’s cabinet. Only voted for McCain because of her and would vote for her again as VP but, all things considered, think there are places where she can be more effective this time around.
