Perfect is the enemy of good.

Winning the battle and losing the war.

That kind of thing.

I bet I would disagree with Professor Warren Throckmorton in any discussion involving government’s role.

I got this far "Given the available choices, a Kasich/Rubio ticket would be a pretty formidable duo to face either Clinton or Sanders in November." and said, whoever wrote this is to stupid to breath.

“In practice, I believe the forced eviction of 12 million people would be a humanitarian disaster”

Obviously, you don not understand Cruz’s positions.

Actually, the true reason the the good prof will not be voting Cruz is because he will be voting for Hillary or Bernie

“Watch Cruz on the O’Reilly Factor:

In practice, I believe the forced eviction of 12 million people would be a humanitarian disaster, comparable to the forced migration of Native Americans during the Trail of Tears between 1830 and 1850. “

________

Ok. That seals it. Ted Cruz is ignorant and runs his mouth just to make a show.

Comparing the Trail of Tears to LEGALLY DEPORTING INVADERS by bus or plane is just DISHONEST and NASTY!

Those people were run out of THEIR HOME LAND after WINNING a supreme court decision that the could remain! They were marched on foot IN THE WINTER for a thousand miles with scant provisions. Thousands died.

NO ILLEGAL ALIEN was or will NEVER be marched out of this country and NONE of them EVER died from being deported!

Ted Cruz is a con man and a LIAR! To use this sad event to score political points shows just what a smarmy Nixon type character this CANADIAN BORN snake oil salesman is. He is USING the Christian right just like Hillary uses Black Americans!

Wake up!

I like Cruz and would vote for him if he were eligible to run for the office of President, but he is not. His father was not an American Citizen at the time of his birth. Case closed as far as I am concerned. Both parents must be U.S. Citizens in order to be a NBC.

These sound like three good reasons to vote Cruz or Trump, since both have similar views on all three points:

- Cruz promises to deport 12 million illegal immigrants

- Cruz dismisses climate change as religion

- Cruz’s promise to carpet bomb ISIS

Anyone who does not agree with the two of them is unacceptable for the White House.

For some reason, I am not the least surprised that a "Professor Throckmorton" would support Kasich.

Though I do agree with one aspect of his immigration argument. Specifically, both Trump and Cruz should be talking a lot more about tightening up employment and stopping benefits, so-called "self-deportation", rather than rounding people up. Same result, just a lot cheaper and more palatable to the general public.

To start with, a promise to deport 12 million is just that, a promise. But what it does do is slam the door on further reckless immigration. It sends a strong message to a lot of other countries that illegal immigration is just that, and that there will no longer be a red carpet of “just make it to America and you will get a good job and free stuff.”

Truthfully, America *can* absorb that many illegals *over time*. It is the reckless effort to *overwhelm* America with open door immigration that is causing most of the problems.

Finally, on *that* subject, Mexico is running out of steam for sending endless immigrants to the US. But those who want reckless immigration will do whatever they can to import other hoards of immigrants, from China, Indonesia, Africa, other South Asian countries. *They* do not care who or from where.

The flip side of open door immigration, and even more destructive to our economy, is exploitative “free trade”, that should be called “colonialism in reverse”. It has destroyed most of America’s heavy industry, and is economically tearing us apart.

Sorry, any idealist fantasies otherwise are just that. Any good that these trade agreements do is vastly outweighed by the harm.

Next up, the defense of Man Made Climate Change just destroys any credibility of this author. It is a fraudulent scheme for internationalist control and domination, and more and more *countries* are dismissing it as the scam it is. Just like the “Population Bomb” scam of the 1970s. Those politicians that support it need to be put out of office and denied podiums behind which they can preach. In balance, they are no different than James Bond villains.

Kasich/Rubio? Two candidates who won’t win their home states in November and would go down in flames to Hillary. Brilliant thinking Professor. Geez, our side is filled with stupid people.

“Cruz promised on more than one occasion to carpet bomb ISIS. Either he doesn’t know what carpet bombing is or he intends to target civilians.”

He has, several times, explained in more detail what his plans are. You obviously are choosing to ignore his actual positions.

Well, I'll admit I didn't do more than a cursory "read", but it seems this author doesn't like Cruz because he talks about deporting illegal aliens, doesn't bow down to the "climate change" kooks, walked out on the IDC when they booed Cruz's mention of Israel and because he wants to "carpet bomb" ISIS.

Okay...vote for Kasich.
