Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump holds a narrow lead over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in California, according to a USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times statewide poll released Sunday.

The results show Trump polling at 37 percent, with Cruz following at 30 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich in third at 12 percent with all voters in the state.

The race was closer among likely voters, with 36 percent saying they would vote for Trump compared to Cruz’s 35 percent. Kasich trailed behind with just 14 percent of the vote....

I hear Cruz polls best with young females...or is it that Cruz likes young females on a poll. I get confused...sorry.

ROTFLMAO! That's a hoot, considering Trump is the geezer with the trophy bride.

Furthermore, Weekly Standard reports Wisconsin poll has TED CRUZ at 36; Trump at 31; Kasich at 21.

Looks like primary voters are doing their research.

The numbers would look a mite different if the GOPee wasn’t running Kasich as a spoiler, soaking up 12% of the likely votes in the poll.

Maybe primary voters are starting to find out that Donald Trump gave mega $$ to Democrat candidates.

For instance, Donald Trump donated $64,000 to Governor Cuomo who shanmefully restricted by SECOND AMENDMENT rights.

Ted Cruz has MOMENTUM on his side. There’s no stopping him now.

In just ONE month, Cruz cut Trump’s national lead from 18% to 3%. Isn’t that a TIE, if you include the MARGIN of ERROR?

Maybe voters are starting to find out that Trump gave $8,900 to Chuck Schumer.

I saw this on the local news last evening. They presented the story as a total shocker, and instead of looking for a supporter of Trump to interview they only found (or presented) those that were opposed to Trump. No bias here.

They must really fear Trump will win the nomination.

It must drive you crazy that some Trump supporters know this and do not care. They understand the that businesses often provide money to both parties as a way of doing business.

To understand why this revelation (and all the others) do not matter is that many Trump supporters are not supporting the MAN, but are supporting the message.

If any other of the Republican want to be would have stood up and took the heat on immigration, or political correctness, or the Muslim invasion of our nation, they would have gotten the support of the people.

Since I brought this up months ago I have been informed by Cruz and Rubio supports that both of them have expressed their concerns about these issues. And while I am not aware of any strong stand taken by either one, I will concede they may indeed have expressed concerns.

The trouble is, they did it in such a way many (like myself) are not aware of it. So if they did, then it was done in such a way they could later point to it and say see, rather then take the heat for their stand.

I will add that they were both eager to attack Trump on his views on these issues so I really don’t think they will do much in the way of stopping the invasion of illegals into our nation, nor deporting them.

But then, this is just one person’s opinion, and I may be wrong.

They “say” they are abandoning Mrs. Bill, and then there is November 8.

Cruz and the other two stooges blamed Trump for the violence. That is a FACT and I heard it with my own ears from HIS mouth.

Then to make matters worse Cruz repeatedly referred to the climate of violence Trump is alleged by the Democratmedia to have created when YOU know very well that the attacks on his rallies are part of the LEFT’S strategy to repressed politically incorrect speech.

You can follow your smary creep into oblivion but don’t try and sell the innocent act with me. Had Cruz shut his pie hole after condemning the rioters I would have retained some admiration for him. But after the pretense that the NBC issue is “settle law” TOTAL lie, and jumping on CNN’s KKK assassination attempt - also a TOTAL lie. Those you can slightly excuse as looking for political advantage particularly when he is being wiped out having received less than half the vote Trump has received.

But that justification of La Raza, Illegalists, standard anarchists and Black LIARS Matter jerks was totally unacceptable to any who actually believe in the First amendment.

Yes, War came to Chicago and Cruz joined the Enemy rather than side with the VICTIMS.

You didn't hear what he said, then.

What part of :the responsibility for the actions of the protesters belongs with the protesters" didn't you understand?

As for following into oblivion, Well, you can keep your EPA loving guy who is going to Make America Great Again--because if he keeps the EPA, that ain't happening. As for the 1954 miles of wall, I'll believe that which the first 1000 miles are done, some time in...NEVER! Trump's Autobahn won't get built.

I understand SOME businesses try to buy politicians for fun and profit.

To understand why this revelation (and all the others) do not matter is that many Trump supporters are not supporting the MAN, but are supporting the message.

Rebuild the Military, make the country safe, evict the undesirables, rebuild the economy, rebuild industry, put the country back to work, recover our lost international prestige---all things we can get behind!

Others in history have had the same message, but their way of going about it wasn't a good outcome.

The MAN matters. Character counts. Principles matter, because when it is all said and done, it is those principles, that character, and the man who represents them which makes America great.

I will add that they were both eager to attack Trump on his views on these issues so I really don’t think they will do much in the way of stopping the invasion of illegals into our nation, nor deporting them.

I heard EXACTLY what he said and after the obligatory swipe at the rioters he went on to blame Trump for creating the atmosphere that encouraged violence.

Don’t tell ME what I heard. Not only did I hear what he said Friday night but the rest of the weekend and he was spouting the Democratmedia bilge about Trump encouraging violence because of his rhetoric.

What a f@@king LIAR.

Trump said in the last debate that he would get rid of the EPA, apparently you are the one with a hearing difficulty.

In fact, it is astounding that the Rat media has not attacked him for saying that.

I have asked all Cruzers HOW could their guy possibly win in a semi-socialist electorate when he can’t even win with a semi-conservative one. He has gotten a little more than a third of the votes and you believe he will do better in a general how does that work?

He will secure the border whether it will be with a combination of wall, drones, increased border patrol and general enforcement of the laws. Anyone with a brain can see that the INVASION will have its worst setback when Trump is president whether it is with a two thousand mile wall or a mixture of enforcement/barriers/electronics.

Clearly the Left and establishments are TERRIFIED that someone not chained to and controlled by them will win.

I have never seen such coordination between supposed rivals against one man.

I know these 4 voters for decades! It is my sister, her husband and their 2 daughters. They have finally realized how the career politicians have schlonged the middle class.

Thanks for your thoughtful post.

Donald Trump didn’t tell voters that he only gave a small fraction to Republicans as he did to Dem candidates. My post stated: “..Donald Trump donated $64,000 to Governor Cuomo..” and that is just ONE Dem candidate that Donald contributed to.

Trump also likes liberal/moderate Republicans, just like George Soros does.

LMSM hasn’t been giving Cruz nearly as much time that Trump received, as did McCain. (Lately Cruz has been given more time, AFTER some people have already made up their minds).

Ted Cruz has a proven record:

“Ted Cruz ran on conservative issues like building a fence on our border when he was elected, he has lived up to his promises in the Senate and he has run a consistently conservative campaign. Cruz is also not temperamental and you don’t ever have to wonder what he REALLY thinks about issues like abortion or health care. Perhaps even more importantly, Cruz has proven that he’s a fighter who’s not scared to go toe-to-toe with anybody from the Republican establishment to Obama, to the mainstream media.

Cruz’s consistent conservatism mixed with his willingness to fight is why he’s the ONLY CANDIDATE RUNNING who can absolutely be counted on to get rid of Obama’s executive orders, kill Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood and build a fence on the border. “

“We are not talking about positions he has taken years ago before he became a Republican. In 2013, conservatives were fighting for dear life to oppose open borders, while Trump was not only supporting the Dream Act, but echoing the liberal politically correct talking points behind it. In August of 2013, he reportedly told a group of illegal aliens, “You have convinced me” of the need to pass the Dream Act.”
