Donald Trump barely won Louisianas primary. In fact, he lost the actual primary day turnout. A big win in early voting helped him keep the lead, but it was close. So close, in fact, that for all intents and purposes, it was a draw.
Enter Louisiana politics. Via my colleague streiff:
What is very clear is that if Donald Trump is not awarded the nomination on the first ballot, his bloc of delegates will melt away and his wins are not being capitalized upon because his campaign is essentially incompetent.
You see, when it came down to the actual election of the delegates, Cruz had more support in the room. This gives him an advantage over Trump, and one that plays into the narrative of the anti-Trump crowd: Trump isnt likable enough to actually win. His campaign cant organize well enough to actually get his delegates to the convention, and party leaders dont like the guy enough to follow his lead.
Of course, being the loser he is, Donald Trump responds as only a loser can: he threatens to sue....

“Hillary cruz sanders Kasich are all the same DC stooges”
Naa. Cruz is a conservative. Always has been. I think he
would be a great president. I think Trump has a very good
chance of winning and I’ll vote for him if he wins the
nomination. I like how Trump makes the worms squirm and I’ll
be a willing supporter. But there is no way I’m going to revert
to a kindergarten temper tantrum and let America go to hell
because I didn’t get my way. I am a conservative and proud
of it.
This is a misrepresentation of my post. I said "whatever the number." I looked it up just now a second time and realized I was in error. Your attempt to paint my mistake as a lie doesn't help your credibility on this forum.
Yewah, THAT would get a lot of Louisiana Trump voters to the polls to vote for Cruz in November, you betcha!
If I was a coonass, I would vote for Cruz if he was the nominee, of course, but I wonder how many others could hold their nose and pull the lever at the same time?
Can you post this article? I have a feeling you are talking about delegates who will vote for Cruz on a second vote. These delegates should be bound to Trump on the first vote, so they are Trump's delegates.
Cruz stealing a few delegates here and there won't help him get the required 1235 delegates. WAPO is sitting on that Cruz video and will unleash it just as the convention starts if Trump doesn't make it to the required number to win the first go.
“This article just confirms why I will never again vote for a GOP candidate.”
Ok. We are talking about the race for the candidate that
will get the full GOP support in the presidential election
later this year. This surprises me considering you’ve been here since 2000.
My question is, why are you here at all much less voicing an
opinion on why you wont vote for anyone, even a conservative
if he/she gets the GOP nomination?
Who are you going to vote for? Who is there to vote for?
Just curious.
He needs to sue them on a PERSONAL LEVEL - make them think a bit harder about the cost of double-crossing Trump.
Cruz probably screwed half the women delegates. No wonder they support the sleaze bag. Look for big payoffs to.
Oh, to clarify my post, you misrepresented my argument claiming my defense was just “whatever!” when it was, “Whatever the number, it’s still not a draw.” Meaning, the vote total doesn’t matter, my overall point is correct.
Very interesting you chose to play concern troll and paint me as a liar, but inadvertently lie while doing so.
Cruz lost Alaska. Big draw.
Please stop. It’s Easter.
I like this. Trump is not going to taked any cr@p from the GOPe it he thinks he has been wronged by them. Trump is a fighter and I like that.
True.
I simply don't believe you or your assertions. Meanwhile, my credibility is not and has not been an issue since I signed up. However you seem to use that tactic quite often.

I wonder if Cruz tested that comment with anyone. It’s out there.
Thank you.
Let's face it, you don't like me because you saw my posts about Cruz and his affairs. Don't lash out at me for being the messenger. Deceiving others and yourself is not good, and will cost you credibility points on this forum.
And that’s being kind!
