Marco Rubio quietly cancels Baton Rouge rally

BATON ROUGE - After a poor showing in the Super Tuesday primaries, Marco Rubio quietly canceled his plans for a Baton Rouge event scheduled for Friday.

Individuals who signed up for tickets to see Rubio received an email Wednesday that the event was canceled.

"In order to use Marco's time as efficiently as possible before Saturday's contests, Marco will not be making a stop in Louisiana Friday night," the email read.

Rubio originally announced he would visit the capital city on Feb. 29. The event was planned for 5:45 p.m. at North Boulevard Town Square.

The Rubio campaign's Eventbrite page is still posted and guests can still register for free tickets. Rubio's official website lists that the first-term U.S. Senator will be attending a rally in Wichita Friday at 12:45 p.m.

Rubio is polling second and third in most polls, behind Donald Trump (R), who had more than 10,000 supporters attend a rally at the Baton Rouge River Center earlier this month.

Rubio will compete in the Louisiana Republican primary Saturday, against Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, and Governor John Kasich. The polls will be open from 7am to 8 pm.

Governor Bobby Jindal, a former candidate for president, endorsed Rubio.

Florida is unique... Because unlike the rest of the country EVERYONE in Florida knows Marco Rubio, and almost everyone hates his guts.

Remember: Cruz was always winning Texas, and Kasich is very competitive in Ohio... Has Rubio EVER been ahead in Florida?

Pack it up little Marco, it’s over.

Voters is Florida either hate Rubio or REALLY hate him. Rubio was elected by conservatives/Tea party folks because they believed him and if he was REAL he would be president. No doubt about it. But as we all know he turned out to be a flake in the first order. Stabbed us/US in the back and went total McCain/Graham.
Approx. 350,000 Republican absentee votes have already been cast. Im not sure what that means but probably a majority went to Trump.

Now folks are even madder at Rubio and as early voting begins I expect, as do others, a huge turn out for Trump.

Between now and Florida there are GOP primaries/caucuses in ten states with a total of 347 delegates. Where does Rubio pick up reasons to claim “momentum” going into FL? Maybe Hawaii, Puerto Rico, DC?

March 5th:
KS 40
KY 46
LA 46
ME 23
PR 23

March 8th:
HI 19
ID 32
MI 59
MS 40

March 12
DC 19

Lately, we are seeing how desperate and immature Little homo Marco really is. Not only will he never be president, he’s gonna lose his senate seat too.

He’s already not running...if he drops out of the Presidency would he get back in the Senate race?

The overwhelming number of absentee votes went wildly for DONALD J. TRUMP. according to gals that work in the local Post Office. These gals are super friendly, know the neighbohood, and chat all day long with their customers. One of them told my wife, when she was in the PO, that folks are telling people are voting for DJT ten to one!!!! We shall see, come next Tuesday!!!

I think I might be careful telling people that postal worker have knowledge of how folks voted on their absentee ballots. It could cause one to wonder about the possibility of unauthorized access to their private correspondence. I’m not accusing, mind you, just saying you should be aware of how this looks.

Rubio reminds of the little homo pool boy in the movie Legally Blonde.

With heavy heart I observe... Rubio’s speech after the Iowa caucuses was the most inspiring(IMHO), he won Senator as a Tea Party favorite in 2010… yet somehow the pathogen (cancer?) in Washington D.C. that destroys Democrats’ minds and Republicans’ spines sadly infected him (as with so many others sent to “change” Washington)...tis a sad decline indeed. The GOPe cynically strapped the “bomb vest” on him and sent him out as a suicide bomber after Trump (like a lamb to slaughter). And like Christie’s attack on him, he destroyed himself in desire to destroy another. Sad indeed this nasty Washington disease! I ‘spect Rubio has too late learned his “friends” in D.C. will soon toss him aside, when he is no longer use to him. :(
