Golly, I thought populists liked it when Cruz did that. Now it turns out that type of insolence is a liability in a president. Frankly, that attitude sounds ... establishment-y.
I guess it's time for the "Donald Trump scolding other people for incivility" act of this circus.
Donald Trump bashed Ted Cruz's "temperament" and defended his presidential campaign's ground game during an appearance Tuesday at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum.
"Ted has got a rough temperament, you can't call people liars on the Senate floor when they are your leaders. Not a good thing to do if you want to curry favor and get the positive votes later on own," Trump said....

So Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants, no matter how politically incorrect it is, but when Cruz does it, it’s a mortal sin? Cruz is in no way wrong. McConnell is a snake and a turncoat.
But you can call them losers and pathological child molesters.
Donald, a little more than a week ago you said: "Now Ted just switched his views on ethanol. He was totally against ethanol, now all the sudden he's for it, you know, it's Iowa and he's for it."
If Americans, including Palin, are stupid enough to vote for a blatant liar like Trump -- then those Americans deserve to lose the nation they should have been trying to preserve.
As for me, I will put my faith in God.

Back when Ted did this, just about everyone here on FR cheered that someone finally had the guts to say the truth. Now watch as the Trump supporters come in and talk about how this shows that Cruz is “nasty” and has a “bad temperament”...

I’m about done with giving Trump any consideration.
He’s very good politically. Which makes me wonder how much I’m being played.
But it’s okay for the Donald to say a national reporter has “blood coming out of her whatever.”
Don is looking less presidential all the time. We’ve had that for the last 7 years and I’m sick of it!
So just use the general all encompassing Trump term, “Stupid?” Is that something Trump followers will understand and accept instead? Truth is a sword.
And you shouldn’t be able to publicly humiliate and embarrass a fellow Republican/nominee about the looks of her face. I think that was the most viscous comment I have ever heard in American politics, absolutely unnecessary and as low class as one can get. I don’t want a leader who doesn’t have the ability to look beyond fake tats, and puffy lips, that is not character to me. I am stunned that people looked the other way after that comment and continue to support this loser. (Incidentally, I am not and never was a Carly supporter)
I think part of it is that Ted was outsmarted. Would you have believed Mitch McConnell would play fair? Not me. Those guys are snakes and sharks, this can’t be news to Ted so why expose to us all that he was outmaneuvered like a schoolboy.
So either Ted was actually outsmarted and was angry or he was playing for the folks back home. In either case I agree with Dynoman. I surely enjoyed the moment but it was basically a temper tantrum. Cruz has not accomplished much in Congress and as President he would need to work with Congress to accomplish anything. I’m not sure that his forte is in getting people to work together to make things happen.
