Santorum, who has running for President for years now, ticked off Beck et al with a video political advertisement that went after Beck show darling, Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
In the video ad, entitled "Fairy Tales", which contrasts and compares the Senate history's of the two Republican candidates, mocking Cruz for reading "Green Eggs and Ham" during a filibuster a couple of years ago. Not a really good argument, but an ad just the same.
This and other attacks on Sen Cruz drew comments from the Beck crew including today when the host himself said of Santorum, "Rick, you're dead to us".
This does and doesn't come as a surprise. Let me explain. George Washington an extremist? The DOD manual indicates he might have been one by their criteria photo
First it does since Beck once said in late 2011, "If there is one guy out there that is the next George Washington, the only guy that I could think of is Rick Santorum. I would ask that you would take a look at him."
I remember hearing that line from Beck and thought to myself at the time, what is this guy thinking. Did he graduate from the Limbaugh Institute of Conservative Studies? Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum has drawn the ire of the crew of the Glenn Beck Radio Program.
Then again it doesn't come as a surprise they turned on Santorum, who I am no fan of, but in the same way Hannity and to a lesser degree Limbaugh fawn all over Donald Trump, you would think the Glenn Beck Program is working for the Ted Cruz for President campaign.
While I like to listen to the show because he talks about things others don't, progressivism and similar topics, consistency has never been a hallmark to Glenn Beck's thought process.
Santorum is attacking Cruz from the left. He is toast
Broken clock. Glenn’s a nutbag.
Thanks for the link. I couldn’t stomach more than 2 minutes of it though. But at least I tried. Haven’t listened to Beck in a couple years. It’s funny how a guy who at one time was really ahead of the curve in terms of recognizing and understanding the underlying political forces that were shaping events, is now so clueless about what’s going on around him. I guess he had his moment. He made a wrong turn somewhere and is now lost on some old back road without realizing it. He still thinks he’s driving on the interstate and can’t understand where all the Stucky’s went to.
It's hard for me to hate Sean, but man, is he a broken record. I don't think he's had an original thought since the 90s, and as much as he claims to be a conservative, he's really just a pom-pom girl for the Republican party.
Why is Santorum wasting everyone’s time. If he was going to run an ad, it should be against Hillary or Sanders. He has no chance so it makes no sense to attack a fellow Republican.
On the other hand, his campaign might get at least some traction by going after Hillary or Sanders.
[ Santorum isn’t (really) running for anything ... is no threat to anyone ... and is a decent man, a lot smarter than many so called conservatives. ]
You are wrong!
No Ugly Sweatervest is safe when Santorum is lurking about!
No
Rick Santorum and Glenn Beck really wish this was 2012.
and the scorpion says to the frog ‘I’m a scorpion. It’s what I do.’
And that could be said for all the 2nd tier wannabee's that haven't got a prayer.
Which brings up the questions:
* Is this ego driven?
* A desire to have a attention?
* A desire to be heard?
* Is the lime-lite on the campaign trail that engulfing?
Seriously, come post your ideas here on FR if you want to be heard.
Beck,....If you have trolls pursuing this site, read this.
I am one Freeper who will **NEVER** forget that you were( and are still are) a jerk on natural born citizenship.
Just shortly after beck left FOX, he developed into a paranoid idiot.
Prior to his being hired by CNN, {he was broadcasting from philly} Beck was funny, semi-political {mostly right} but was a fantastic talk show host.
When he got hired by cnn, it went to his head, and insanity overtook the boy. Downhill from there and now if I hear his voice {even by accident} I change the station.
The man is crazy.
