Donald Trump wrote in a blog post during the 2008 presidential campaign that Hillary Clinton would make a "great" president or vice president.
Buzzfeed unearthed an archived webpage of the blog post posted on www.trumpuniversity.com from March 2008 when he said the Democratic presidential nomination was still far from decided.
"Hillary Clinton said she'd consider naming Barack Obama as her vice-president when she gets the nomination, but she's nowhere near a shoo-in. For his part, Obama said he's just focused on winning the nomination, although at least one member of his team said Clinton would make a good vice-president. (I know Hillary and I think she'd make a great president or vice-president.)," Trump wrote.
Buzzfeed had previously found another blog post Trump wrote in December of 2008, following President Obama's victory, in which he praised Clinton again.

Which “True Conservative” that you have supported or voted for said they will build a wall, deport illegal aliens & stop the refugees coming to America?
If Trump builds a wall, that’s more conservative than any “conservative” we have sent to Washington so far.
No reason to lie.
"Trump floated Winfrey as a possible running mate in 1999, when he considered running for president as a member of the Reform Party, in an interview with Larry King."

When did Arnold say he would build a wall & deport illegal aliens?
Last thing this country needs now is a reality star POTUS who flip flops on positions like a fish out of water.
Yup.
You have to wonder why the GOP establishment fears him so much.
If he was a conservative, they’d want him out.
But to oppose him for things he says just to get votes, c’mon.
As for getting elected, let’s just note no one ever got broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.
She hadn’t yet killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed our position in the Middle East as the worst secretary of state in our nation’s history. Trump was wrong then, as evidenced by the fact that he now wants to run against her to save America.
Leave Yeb Alone!
He’s trying to pick a running mate.
You are correct, I apologize for my mistake. I did not intend to misrepresent the date, in my haste to add to the discussion I pulled a piece with the relevant quote from a CBS piece dated June of 2015, I should have seen that it was a quote from 1999. Sorry, I will endeavor to keep the reputation and standard of FR above reproach.
Your impression is wrong in my case. I’m a conservative, here on FR since 2000 at least, and I’m a strong Trump/Cruz supporter, complete with donating to Cruz several times.
Really? I’ve been here since 05, how’s about you?
Rush Limbaugh “endorsed” her too.
Cruz was calling for a wall in 2011 when Trump was criticizing Romney for being mean for advocating self deportation.
Ted Cruz has deportation as part of his immigration plan and says the laws must be enforced.
Cruz has sponsored legislation to prevent all immigration from a growing list of nations (currently 34) that have terrorists cells.
O.C. baby!
>>My impression of DT supporters here on FR is clearly they are not conservatives, they are the lefy libertarians, or Democrats whoâve come here to create chaos in the primary.
Your impression is your opinion. I’ve been here quite a long time more than you and these childish accusations that we are all Democrats is supposed to do what? Do you even take a time to read posts and realize that most of the Trump supporters are also Cruz supporters? We just think that Trump’s willingness to get in the Progressives’ faces is important because they’ve never faced an opponent who fights them with their own tactics. You don’t. I understand that and respect you for your priorities. Perhaps you could act like an adult and respect us for our priorities as well.
Trump will play this like a Walmart kazoo. He’ll start with that was 2008 and look what she and Obama did since, then the door will be open and he will go to town on them both and anyone who voted with them.
Trump was correct in a way, Hillary would have been better than Obama.
Cruz has my vote.
We have one now.
Not only celebrity, but when Schwarzenneger started to parrot the real conservative in the race, Tom McClintock, people behaved the same way as they are with Trump. Like any contrary position he had before did not matter, and when he won and turned his back on those new conservative principles people acted surprised and disappointed. I understand wanting someone to destroy the GOPe, but I don’t see how Trump can be trusted. He is loyal to Trump, not donors and certainly won’t be to voters. If he gets the nomination he’ll get my vote against Hillary but I have my doubts that he’ll do the things that he is promising. If I am proven wrong that is great but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.
