Bloomberg is a gun grabber. He doesn't deserve any page hits.
I don’t need to read this drivel to understand.
Written by Al Hunt to boot. That’s two reasons not to read it. I was wondering where he disappeared to. Is Judy Dandruff still on PBS?
even though you probably agree with him on this.....??? I”m secure enough in my beliefs to read lefties like Hunt and not feel threatened.
Al Hunt actually wrote this?
I didn’t read it. I thought I was clear about that. I was merely commenting on the probable worthlessness of it. Apparently you did read it. Tell me what he said and I’ll tell you what I think about it.
This ‘outsider’ meme is duplicitous.
It hides the fact that it’s the *positions* of the establishment that are disapproved of.
Moderate voters are not just wanting ‘outsiders’, they want what they consider good policy.
It was right on the money about the Republican base versus the Republican establishment sitaution today.
I bet you would agree with nearly all of it.
For cheap labor purposes, Malcolm Steve Forbes is for amnesty for illegal immigrants. This is his biggest weakness, and why I was glad that he didn’t become POTUS.
Okay I read the article. There was nothing in it that I haven’t read or heard elsewhere many times. It was merely a recitation of poll numbers with no new insight. Am I missing something?
Yes, you are missing my entire point - in context.
I don’t think I’m missing your point, but your words “in context” makes me think you think I am. Don’t sweat it. It’s not a big deal.
my only point was that Freepers were refusing to read it because they assumed, since it was Al Hunt, that is was bullshit.
As it turned out, it was right on the money....and those Freepers were wrong. I never said that it was earth shattering stuff we don’t know.....but it was ironic that a bunch of posters who would agree with every word of it refused to read it on the premise that they would not agree with any of it.
No sweat....
There's always speculation about why it is that the conservative candidate loses the nomination.
People assume that there's some great conservative alternative in the field who was cruelly and unfairly crushed by Dole or McCain or Romney.
Facing up to the fact that the real existing conservative candidates weren't the kind of people who win presidential nominations or elections would be a step in the right direction.
Things are different this time. But the question's a valuable one: Why aren't Trump and Cruz Forbes and Cain (or Robertson and Keyes or Gramm and Dornan or Bauer and Buchanan or Santorum and Huckabee or Paul and Hunter)?
I agree the article was factual and drew reasonable conclusions from the data cited. Thank you for your time and patience.
I heard you were on the radio this morning. How’d it go?
Thanks for asking...there was a thread about my appearance on Breitbart’s News Daily Show - went well....short...about 5 minutes.
Taped Newsmax TV Malzberg Panel this afternoon, playing tonight sometime.
I’m on Deace tonight. On Sorbo tommorw. AMN on Thursday.
And I'll be the first to admit those are RARE in an Al Hunt article. And I'm sure he's drawing the wrong conclusions about the electability of Cruz or Trump - but he'll get around to that later.
