The two key ingredients to winning a primary are voter enthusiasm and a get-out-the-vote operation. In a caucus, the organization is even more important. You have to identify people in advance who will agree to go to caucuses, which is much, much more involved and time-consuming than simply voting. It can be a process that goes on for some time, and only committed caucus-goers will go in for that. That's why to be serious, you need an organization in every district and committed people you know by name who are going to show up.
Ted Cruz has that in Iowa. Donald Trump does not.
Mr. Trump's Iowa director predicted that he would recruit a leader for each of the state's 1,681 Republican precincts by Thanksgiving. Instead, the first major training session for precinct leaders, heavily promoted in emails and conference calls, drew only about 80 people to West Des Moines last weekend, with about 50 participating online....

Somehow people equate the ten dollar words and the tendency to rephrase questions so he can avoid answering what he doesn’t want to makes him perfect presidential material. Yes, a cult of personality.
i would like to think there wouldn’t be a meltdown because Cruz is a second choice for a lot of Trump supporters. But, yeah I could see a couple of people going ape on these forums if Trump loses the primary.
+7 on election day is a 7 pt win. Yeh its yuge. :-)
If it was Election Day, sure. But it’s still early and that goes for Cruz’s polls too.
Really .. “he wrote it down” .. Did you see him with paper and pencil writing all that stuff down.
You people are so eager to discount Cruz .. you actually embarrass yourselves with your stupid comments.

By the way Trump is +18 not +7 in SC. :-)
Wisconsin, too.

The use of quotation marks means you quote someone word for word. My words were: “and probably wrote them down”
“You people are so eager to discount Cruz .. you actually embarrass yourselves with your stupid comments.”
Who had to bend over to write something stupid?
I believe every state should hold it’d primary the same day, and; only REPs in one and only Dems in the other. NO illegals and no one w/o an ID can vote.No black panther near the place or he is dead.
The old "reach across the aisle" to the Democrats argument. We tried that in 2008 and 2012. Didn't work out as claimed. Let's do something different this time and nominate a conservative.
I disagree, I don’t think he’s a squish and unlike what people did with Obama, I’m not projecting what I want him to be... onto him. I have no idea what he will do with abortion, or healthcare or insert any other cause here. But I do know that he is a patriot, demonstrated over and over again for decades. I have admired him since my high school days because of his success.
This is where I cut him slack. Abortion and all those other things don’t matter if our border is not closed and we don’t start deporting people in droves. We will have a socialist government forever if we don’t reverse course!
Cruz is not going to do these things. He may go halfway but he is not going to go ALL the way. Trump will. Trump is like a bulldog, he will latch on and not let go. Honestly, I think he is not very focused on some of the social issues but I don’t care now. We need a General Patton who will go in with brass knuckles and beat the hell out of the democrats. Cruz is good, but he will try the diplomatic route. Remember that Jim Robinso, Sara Palin, Sundance and others support Trump and Cruz like me. I don’t dislike Cruz, I just think Trumpm will win and he will get the job done.
Oh really .. you bent down and wrote something ..????
Wow! I didn’t realize you were so confused.
I only posted links to the actual recent polls and quoted what they said. These are the same polls often Trump happily quotes on the campaign trail.
