Television personality Montel Williams said Wednesday that it would be insanity to bet against Donald Trump winning the GOPâs presidential nomination in 2016.
If anybody doesnât think heâs going to get the nomination, youâre crazy, he said on MSNBCâs Morning Joe.
Williams said pundits keep predicting that Trump will flame out despite his soaring poll numbers, and they've so far been wrong.
So we can keep playing like in a couple months this is going to change, he added. Itâs not.
Heâs galvanized a group of people who ... donât have college degrees [and] they normally donât vote. What happens when they all turn up?

Is “don’t have college degrees” just a back handed way of saying they are stupid?
Yes.
pansy
Well, I have several degrees and I support him.
It is not stupid.
Montel badmouths trump all the time on twitter. He’s just facing reality.
The wife and I have degrees and we support Trump.
I know someone with a doctorate in a scientific field, not medicine, who is enthusiastically supporting him.
Duh, otay Montell. We’re just two stoopid.
I like Montel Williams. He’s an American success story.
Yes, or worse.
Of course. I’m not saying they are stupid. Not at all. It does seem to be what Montel is saying.
I have 3 degrees and I like what Trump is saying. I am sick to death of mealy mouthed mamby pampy politicians.
MFO
I don’t understand Montel Williams popularity.
But hey, I’m just a stupid Bitter Clinger according to Lord Obama.
What’s with the commie libs and college degrees? Many of them are just garbage. Nothing more than tuition receipts. Nothing that will help you get a job.
I’ll add that sometimes people with high levels of “education” can be very very stupid and especially unwise.
Forgot to mention, I’m a Cruz supporter and Trump is right behind him.
Either one or both on the same Ticket works for me.
I do not think so. What Montel is trying to say is those without college degrees have lower turn outs than those with degrees. And Trump is energizing that category of voters more than others.
By the way I have a master’s degree with 3.95/4.00 GPA from Univ of Iowa Engineering college. And I am supporting Trump.
I knew what you meant. I am seeing an odd mix of support for Trump, even people I would not have imagined. The friend with the doctorate really surprised me.
I plan to vote for Cruz in the primary.
Neither do I ( understand William’s popularity ), but then I have 2 degrees from good colleges and am a Trump supporter.
