Ted Cruz raised $12.2 million in the past three months for his Republican presidential bid, about twice what competitor Marco Rubio collected in the same time period.
The new numbers are being circulated by the campaigns ahead of a deadline next week to report fundraising to federal regulators. The quarterly figures mark a practical and symbolic measure of strength for all presidential candidates, but they don't tell the whole story.
Cruz and Rubio both topped Rand Paul, whose presidential campaign said it had pulled in $2.5 million through the end of September....

R. Lee Ermey is definitely a man’s man!
Son and I finally watched “Full Metal Jacket”; just damn, he sure played a mean SOB drill sergeant.
********************************************************************************
That may be because he actually had been a DI in the Marine Corps. A “mean” one? I’m sure he put on a mean act to motivate his recruits.
Love Ted, but want to know WHO is ponying up funds!
Hello!
Hi! All candidates are receiving support from super pacs. Hoping Ted stays true to his convictions, only way we can evaluate is by knowing who is paying the bills. I like to have all info on candidates , even the one I support. Trust yet verify!
I get three emails a day asking for donations. Ted’s camp is not shy.
I know! Good thing they are. Just keeping a tight eye on things. Not into being gamed again.
I am, for one.
As am I., but also want to know who are the big donors. Not into idol worship with ANY mortal Cruz is my first choice candidate. So tell me why I should not support him. Waiting to see the craziness begin on FR...
Maybe people should back Rand Paul, he hardly raises any money! LOL
OMG... Rand seems to be a nut from the tree that bore him...sad, he almost had me hooked about three years ago.... While he was pretending to like the Tea Party supporters. What a liar he is!
Hi Welcome
..and you are?..somehow qualified to judge because..... Why?
Asking legit questions is not concern trolling when the answers consists of nothing but gut feelings.
Judge what? Has Cruz broken out of the pack? What am I missing?
The proof in da pudding is the amount of support Ted Cruz is getting from the soft money donations above all the other candidates, and excellled above all the other candidates in fund raising last quarter including corporate funded Jeb Bush.
The proof in da pudding is that Ted Cruz has the best network of grass roots above any candidate including the Democrats.
Da Bears .... Just had to say it...
The uninformed are the “ Herd Brained Mentality “ who go cook coo over Cocoa Puffs or like that fish who gets excited over the fish tank bubbles in Finding Nemo.
They are easily manipulated to be exploited to get a desired effect from them just as exactly what Donald Trump is doing.
He is a SHOWMAN first before he is a businessman.
He is pulling their chains with his Golden hook.
Him being all cozy and nice playing footses with the Teamsters Unions doesn’t bother them at all, it speaks volumes of their character and ideology including their careless attitude with issues like abortion and gay marriage.
The grass roots network that Ted Cruz has built and continues to build has noting to do with feelings, but is built apon true grit and hard work of those people who have the same values and convictions as Ted Cruz does.
Feelings is what TV shows are made of selling a product to the uninformed...... It’s called : Salesmanship
The greatest race horse Secretariat of all time certainly did not break out first in Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, nor did he break out first in the Belmont Stakes.
His race in both the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont were nothing short of spectacular and a miracle.
Secretariat broke last, yes, it’s true, broke dead last in the Preakness Stakes, but made his move in the first turn at Pimlico race track and trounced the field coming into the 2nd turn into the back field in first place and never gave up first place to win the Preakness Stakes in the run of the Tripple Crown in 1973.
You do NOT ever see that kind of move in horse racing.
Secretariat’s run in the Belmont Stakes speaks for it’s self.
At this point it doesn’t matter if Ted Cruz is breaking from the pack, he is doing just fine right where he is at.
His move will be some time near the end of December.
Donald Trump will have reached his peak my the middle of November to December.
Some of his support will move back to the DNC once they decide on their own front runner like Joe Biden.
Ted Cruz should be on the rise between December to the middle of January.
.
I guess I missed the legit question.
What post was that?
.
I hope you’re right. And thanks for the insult-free reply!
