Caution: It is the National Enquirer...proceed with caution. My theory is only people who do not make any mistakes are those who do not do any work. Even surgeons can make mistakes. It is a fast paced, high stress atmosphere in the surgery. Time is critical. There is rivers of blood. Blood soaked Sponges can be missed. Unless gross negligence is involved, there is no basis for malpractice suits.

OMG! I expect the Enquirer will be quoted and showered with praise now since they're attacking an evil Republican.
John Edwards' baby, Michelle and Barack fighting and possible divorce? Meh.

People have head trauma and don’t come back the way they were before the trauma so they sue the surgeon. This is unfortunately common.

I just saw an issue of the same paper that said Hillary has only 6 months left. Of course, that might mean 6 months left on the warranty for her refrigerator. LOL
To: entropy12
I an waiting for the Enquirer headline of Trump with all 3 wives at once... When does that issue come out

Sponges used in neurosurgery can be tiny little specs... don’t think of the sponges used in your kitchen.
A pediatric neurosurgeon is an enormous lawsuit target.
Whenever you work in pediatrics or obstetrics you are a yuuuge target for lawsuits.
No telling how big the bill is for malpractice insurance in such a specialty.... its a main reason patient costs are so high.

"BUNGLING SURGEON BEN CARSON LEFT SPONGE IN PATIENTS BRAIN!"
That's minor compared to the obamatrons that put an imbecile in charge for the United States Armed Forces. The patient may never recover.

the only question that should be asked is where did NI get the information and what was the result of the suits?
Did the info come from GOPe, Dims, or Trump?

Aren’t the Clintons some-how “Affiliated” with the Enquirer? I seem to recall hearing that they were at least “partial owners” of the paper when John Edwards dirt involving his mistress came out.

From what I understand, surgeons usually enter after the prep work is done, perform the surgery and excuse themselves, leaving the other assistants to clean up and close up. Removing sponges is probably part of their duties, not the surgeon?

yeah I’m not believing the national enquirer. also it is not the surgeon who counts dressings etc

It’s racism, racism I tell ya, when they go after Ben Carson. If the NI doesn’t watch out Al Sharpton, Jesse, and the NAACP will be after them for their racist reporting. Carson, after all, is black -100% as a matter of fact, unlike Obama whose defense was racism after every challenge.

But The National Enquirer is more often right than wrong.
What's he even doing in the race????
Carson's got NOTHING. Nothing but the rep of being a nice guy and being known for cute little remarks/jokes.
What's he going to do with Isis? Tell them cute little joke and beg them ('please, with sugar on it, don't slaughter any more Christians') not to chop off any more Christian heads?
We need a steam roller like Trump to slap down the sorry RINOs and clean up the mess Omuslim made.
I'd vote a Trump/Allen West ticket, but CARSON IS NO ALLEN WEST!!
